Access Virus Ti2 Keyboard

This synth is an absolute must-have. Got the Virus TI keyboard mainly for use in the studio. 16-Multi with Total Integration is exactly what I wanted.

The synth itself is solidly built with good quality knobs, buttons and the keys feel great. In fact, it has one of the best keybeds I've ever played.

But most importantly it sounds great. Very versatile, great for leads, plucks, bass and pads. It can do almost everything. It can sound soft, it can sound aggressive. All effects, especially the reverb sound awesome, as well as the filters. It has some great presets to get you started, but also sound designing is easy, especially with the Virus Control plugin (not quite sure without it). Virus Control runs smoothly over the USB connection.

Nothing bad to say about this synth really.

Am using the Virus Ti2 in the studio purely as a standalone synth without computer integration therefore this review can only cover the basic aspects.
It has over 2000 sounds, many of which are probably more suitable as sound effects and most are astounding. Working in a darkened studio at night with headphones on can be a hair raising experience as some of the pads are perfect for horror movie scores and you are guaranteed to get the creeps. Perfect for film music scores and ambient music as well as obviously techno and trance. Included are many types of massive basses, unusual leads and also human sounding voices, many pads and some percussion. It has a superb Arpeggiator too i.m.o.
The Virus Ti2, like all the Virus range, has an absolutely huge sound and the soundscapes it can create completely fill the acoustic space.
What was also immediately noticeable was how each sound fits perfectly in the mix.
It is as if everything is somehow pre-compressed and incredibly professional sounding.
The Effects are excellent too. It has an intelligent layout which makes for a comfortable creative experience and compared to some alternative modern synths, editing is simple and there is minimal menu diving.
The Ti2 exudes quality throughout and the keyboard action is superb with no clicks, bangs or unwanted vibrations.
There are a handful of conventional instruments within including some amazing electric pianos but it is no Kronos containing the entire orchestra and therefore cannot be compared to any workstation of this type.
However, like the Kronos, each sound will sustain through the next so there is no abrupt stop and start when a patch is changed.
Even in single mode the Arpeggiator can be set off and held with a sustain pedal while other patches can be added to play with it.
In over 40 years of using synths it is like finding the holy grail.
The Virus Ti2 is nothing less than astonishing!

I have more than 20 other synths, and no one can compare, or get even closer to this. Extremely powerful. Mega creative and inspiring. All of the sounds (no matter the style) even the dirtiest one sound perfectly pro. No bad sounds. Very good knobs, keys, touch, feel. Total integration will lead you to the new way of song producing. That`s not a synth, it`s a way ot playing and producing. Totally satisfied
