An e-drumset with an acoustic look
The Strike Pro Special Edition is the top model among the e-drum sets from the American company Alesis. This visually extremely attractive kit comes with significantly more features than most e-drum sets from other manufacturers. There are no fewer than four cymbal pads ranging from 14" to 16" in diameter and four toms in 8", 10", 12" and 14" sizes, which - like the 14" snare and the 20" bass drum - have real wooden shells and therefore look just like an acoustic drum set. 1800 sounds, 136 drum kits, a sampling function, a 4.3" colour LED display, and an extensive effects section are features that make it clear that this is a pro instrument.

Unlimited sound possibilities
When you see the Alesis Strike Pro Special Edition e-drumset in front of you, you might initially think it's an acoustic drum kit. The reason for this are the meshhead drum pads, which are equipped with real wooden shells and the outside of which is covered with a stylish Sparkling Red foil. Combined with the black-coated shell hardware, the result is a very interesting look that will surely draw all eyes to it. The module offers an impressive 1800 sounds and on top of that the option to use your own samples. Like the preset sounds, these can be spiced up with effects such as reverb, chorus, vibrato, flanger, or delay. Editing can be done directly on the device or conveniently on your computer using a software editor.

A real showstopper
While most e-drum sets look rather inconspicuous compared to an acoustic drum set, the Alesis Strike Pro Special Edition Kit doesn't need to shy away from the comparison. With dimensions that correspond to an acoustic drum set, it cuts a fine figure in the rehearsal room and is of course also ideal for the stage. The audience will hardly notice the difference, and thanks to the numerous sounds and kits, you can play absolutely any musical genre in a live setting, which makes the kit particularly recommendable for cover or top 40 bands. Thanks to the sampling function of the module, even the original sounds of well-known hits can be integrated into the programme if required, making the variety of sounds practically limitless. The low-noise and joint-friendly mesh head pads enable fatigue-free playing.

About Alesis
Alesis was founded in 1984 by Keith Barr in Hollywood, California, and has become one of the leading manufacturers of signal processors, drum machines, synthesizers, and other studio equipment. The company’s most successful products during its early years were the MIDIverb, the HR-16 drum machine, and the ADAT multitrack digital recorders. In 2001, Alesis was acquired by Numark owner Jack O’Donnell and is now part of his InMusic parent company alongside brands like AKAI, Denon, and many other well-known names in the audio manufacturing industry. Alesis has also been a major player in the field of e-drums for many years and offers a large choice of products in all price ranges.
Convincing in the rehearsal room and on stage
With its attractive looks and generous dimensions, the Alesis Strike Pro Special Edition e-drumset stands out from the electronic drum crowd. For example, if you play drums in an entertainment band with its own PA system in frequently changing or acoustically difficult conditions and value a wide range of sound options, the Strike Pro is a stylish, reliable, and versatile tool that can even be extended by adding your own sounds. But the kit can also show its strengths in the rehearsal room, especially when acoustic drums would be too loud given the spatial conditions of the room. Of course, the Strike Pro also makes an excellent home practice set, but keep in mind that the set takes up more space than conventional e-drum kits.
