Amazing choice (at least for guitar and other experimental usages)
Miro V. 04.06.2019
Well,

I guess my review won't be exactly for the violinists out there since I chose this product to use with my Les Paul to get a bit more authentic, sonically very "tearing" high distorted and reverberated ebow-esque wailing tones.

For this particular usage this works just fine. The quality seems average and all the hairs were intact at least. I really don't know all the intricacies that should be noted when buying a bow like this, but at least it brought what I wanted to produce sonically with my instruments and did everything I wanted surprisingly good.

I also love how you can control the "pressure" or more like the velocity of the sound you are producing with the bow by putting a bit more "weight" to the bowing action and with distortion and reverb (also delay with lot of quick repeats but throwing the mix lower) it creates amazing soundscapes, artifacts from the distortion, harmonies and undertones which can't be produced with an E-Bow.

No regrets on my part at this purchase. Give it a whirl if you understood what I meant and if you are considering to use these things for the same application as I do.

Very happy with it!
Anonymous 28.10.2016
I always seem to be using things for purposes they were not designed.

I got this to use on guitar and as such I have no experience with bows. I can however say this was perfect for my needs and I'm happily using it to this day.

It was far less costly than anything I could get locally and I was happy to 'take a chance' I could use it with guitar. I'm very happy with the sound so if anything should happen to my bow, I would immediately buy another.

For my specific needs, this is great and very reasonably priced!

A Good Replacement Bow
Anonymous 08.07.2016
I was looking for replacement bow for my ten year old daughter?s violin. As she is a beginner, I was looking for a relatively inexpensive but good quality bow.

My daughter likes the look and shape of the bow and tells me it feels very comfortable to play with, even compared to the original bow she had. The horse hair slides well across the strings.

Pros:
Nicely balanced and comfortable to hold
Looks good
Good value for money

Cons:
None to report so far.

Verdict:
I?m very pleased with the purchase, it arrived on time as always with Thomann. My daughter is really happy with the look and feel of this bow. A nice bow for a beginner and for a reasonable price too. A quality product, would highly recommend this.

At this price point it's hard to get a better bow
Gajdzin 04.01.2019
There's really nothing negative I can say about this bow, considering what it costs. Comparing it to bows costing 10 or 100 times more wouldn't be fair. But as a beginner bow just to see if a violin is your cup of tea this is perfect.
