Teuer, aber auch sinnvoll? Jain!

Fakt ist:
Alle Ape Labs Produkte, die ich bisher im Besitz hatte oder habe (aktuell ca. 30 Spots von Ape Labs), kommunizieren zwar untereinander bis zu einer gewissen Entfernung, lassen sich dementsprechend bis zu einer gewissen Entfernung auch sehr gut der Fernbedienung steuern, haben aber nur die festen Farbpresets und spätestens dann, wenn man zur Party alles Sound to Light laufen lassen möchte, ist die Kommunikation im Eimer und jeder Spot macht, was er will. Unschön, wobei die Spots selber sind für mich als mobiler DJ aktuell eigentlich die besten, die es überhaupt gibt! Dieses Gerät soll Abhilfe schaffen. Tut es das auch?

Die App ist schnell geladen und die Bedienung an der App dann wirklich einfach und im Prinzip sehr genial gelöst. Alles lässt sich damit einstellen und vor allen Dingen auch eigene Farben kreieren und eigene Farbpresets speichern. Allerdings sind mir 2 nervige Punkte aufgefallen: Zum einen ist mir die App bereits 2x so abgestürzt, dass ich neu installieren musste (ich nutze ein hochwertiges Huawaii Handy) und zum anderen funktioniert auch mit diesem Gerät der Sound to Light Modus nur mittelmäßig gut. Gerade neulich hatte ich wieder 12 Spots in einem 20x25 Meter Saal verteilt und es hat auch hier wieder bei einigen Spots nicht geklappt, dass wirklich alle im Sound to Light Modus, den ich dann zur Party einstellen wollte, das Gleiche gemacht haben. Dadurch verliert der W-APP wireless Transceiver für mich einen Tick an Nutzen, da ich ihn hauptsächlich dafür gekauft habe, damit meine Spots auch im Sound to Light Modus immer das Gleiche machen. Ich werde das Teil trotzdem behalten, weil alle anderen Funktionen wirklich gut sind, aber ich kann daher nur 4 Sterne im Gesamtpaket geben, da ich mir bei dem Preis doch noch einen Tick mehr versprochen hatte. Daher nur gut und nicht sehr gut für mich.

EDIT April 2020:
Perfekt! Ich habe in der App nur einen Bedienungsfehler gemacht und immer den Sound to Light Modus an den Spots eingestellt, aber nicht am Transceiver. Jetzt, wo ich das geschnallt habe, funktioniert mit dem Transceiver auch auf Entfernung der Sound to Light Modus perfekt. Daher erhöhe ich meine Bewertung nun auf volle 5 Sterne!
