Super great sound

Completely transformed my baritone ukulele from a "mushy" dangling sound to a full bright as well as bassy sound. The first two strings take a lot of time to settle in and expand greatly when tuning (don't leave too much of space when winding the new string for the first time, because it will expand by 10 percent or so and you could end up with no space for winding on the tuning peg). Sadly, the first string broke after 3-4 days of playing, so don't forget to check the nut and file a bit with an old string or a fine sandpaper if necessary. Also sanding the frets a bit and smoothing them a bit will help in the long run. These strings are a bit more "gentle" than your standard nylon set, so keep that in mind.

All in all, I really recommend the strings. Have a good play.

Sound and look way better than standard Aquilas or D'Addarios and the B and E strings feel better under fingers, less slippy

Aqula delivers again
Anonymous 06.05.2016
These are great strings. They sound really good, no surprise there. I?ve used lots of Aquila strings in the past for my sopranos and tenors and they?ve always got a bright, pleasing sound that fits a ukulele better than the sound from classical guitar strings. I didn?t even know that Aquila made strings for baritone ukulele, otherwise I would have been using these a long time ago. I can?t say if this red series sounds better than the regular Aquila baritone uke strings but they definitely give my uke a different look. The red really stands out against the colour of my spruce. I?ll definitely be stoking up on these. They are my new go to strings.
