10/10 for nostalgia.
Downtuner, 21.12.2015
If you're a fan of classic synth pop such as Gary Numan, Depeche Mode, The Human League or Kraftwerk, this synth is excellent! It has both the sound and aesthetics of classic vintage synthesizers from the 1970's.
But I have seen Orbital use it in more recent production.

Pros:
- excellent sound
- excellent look
- excellent feel
- sturdy
- 100% analog FM synthesis capabilities
- Basically an ARP 2600 in a smaller form.
- CV inputs & outputs for modular
- Nice vinyl hardcase

Cons:
- You need to tune it yourself (with Guitar tuner or 'Tuner' built into Ableton Live)
- Tuning can drift after a few hours. But this is authentic vintage behaviour.
- Can't control most parameters via MIDI CC. (See notes below)

Notes: It can only receive MIDI notes. No velocity, no aftertouch and none of the parameters are MIDI assignable. However, it does have CV in and outs, which work great with modular gear.

Mine didn't include a UK power adapter out of the box (only EU power adapter), but Thomann provided one for free afterwards.

I love my ARP Odyssey
Pelektron, 29.12.2017
I thought about buying this synth for some days. Watched some videos and was pretty sure I would like it, maybe even love it Then I decided to do it because I had the money. And now I have this wonderful synth. I love playing it and I can not remember anything I don?t like about it. Now it?s like it was always part of my studio.
Luckily I decided to also get the Moog EP-3 Expression Pedal and it makes playing the Odyssey even more fun.
I know that some people don?t like mini-keys, but for me it?s even better like this since my hands are small.
It?s nice that it comes with some sound recipes, they are a good starting point, but it?s also nice to experiment with this synth and make some noise. For me it?s something for everybody in terms of making sounds and it even comes with a case :)

Amazing synth
James4768, 06.08.2015
This is truly a musician's synth. It is fantastic for quickly constructing amazing-sounding leads. It doesn't have as much scope for weird experimentation as some other synths but when you want to get to it and play a great lead sound, this is your beast.

Fantastischer Retro Synth
Thomas9105, 19.04.2016
