Decent unit for recording multiple instruments. The preamps sound good and are detailed in each manual that comes with it.
I did notice a small dB difference between left and right speaker. It does also lack an internal mixer (AFAIK) and this requires you to use i.e. a DAW if you'd want to play for example bass directly through the Arturia unit via the speakers.

I've been reading about it online and finally decided to pull the trigger. This audio interface is incredible. It has all the I/O you could possibly ask for, ADAT expandability, Send/Return on the first two channels, inputs on both front and back for the first two channels (very handy), flawless software integrations. It's a 10/10 for me.

This interface is pure garbage, do yourself a favor and don't buy it. The pres have a lot of noise, even at lower levels; all the knobs are made of cheap plastic; the sync process is buggy and overall a pain; the gain knobs produce noise in the recording when you adjust them; the software always does the same firmware update every single time you turn this thing on; the front pannel buttons only work sometimes. I've had my interface returned and the new one has the same exact problems as the old one. This is not an isolated faulty unit, this is simply a badly designed interface. Do youself a favor and buy a Focusrite 8Pre - it will have less gain and less options, but what it has works great.

Hatte zwei Geräte und bei beiden trat derselbe Mangel auf: Der Speaker Output arbeitet links und rechts nicht gleichmäßig. Rechts ist er etwa 1,5-3 db lauter (je nach Reglerstellung) als links. Das konnte ich mit Messungen belegen. Auch das Ersatzgerät hatte denselben Mangel und auch der Headphone Output war rechts lauter als links. Das ist so leider nicht hinnehmbar, daher ging auch das Ersatzgerät zurück.

Schade ist es schon, denn eigentlich ist es ein nettes Gerät und bietet recht viel auf einer Höheneinheit kompakt untergebracht. Und der Hersteller verweist ja auf die vermeintlich tolle Qualität, indem er Messprotokolle beilegt, die den Frequenzgang und die Wandlerqualität (Preampgain, Dynamik) belegen. Es sieht gut aus, hat für USB fantastische Latenzen auf einem nicht mehr ganz neuen PC (3,6 ms Roundtrip bei 8 Samples Buffer und 44,1 kHz) und ansonsten macht es was es soll, auch wenn die Potis keinen allzu strammen Eindruck machen (es fühlt sich an, als wären die Potiachsen aus Gummi, obwohl sie kein Spiel haben).

Ich stand auch mit dem Hersteller in Kontakt. Die wollen nun testen, ob es sich um Montagsmodelle handelt oder ein grundsätzliches Serienproblem mit den Speakerpotis besteht. Solange kann ich das Arturia Audiofuse 8Pre nicht empfehlen. Wem das egal ist, weil er sowieso einen externen Monitorcontroller an den anderen (fehlerlos arbeitenden!) Outputs betreibt, könnte darüber hinwegsehen. Das mitgelieferte Pluginpaket ist eine nette Dreingabe, aber hinterlässt auch eher gemischte Gefühle (1073: harsche, unangenehme Höhen, Trident und V-Preamp Sims: ok).

Bleibt zu hoffen, dass der Hersteller das Problem in den Griff kriegt (Stand: 01.07.2020)

Edit: 07.07.2020. Ich hab mir nun ein anderes Audiointerface eines anderen Herstellers gekauft. Mit dem Arturia hatte ich noch das Problem, dass ich über Wordclock keine Synchronisierung mit meinem Audient ASP 800 hinbekommen habe. Ich hatte das zunächst nicht als Mangel des Arturia aufgeführt, weil ich nicht testen konnte, ob es nicht doch am Wordclockkabel oder dem Audient lag. Mit dem neuen Interface funktioniert die Wordclocksynchronisation (selbes Kabel, selbes Audientgerät) problemlos. Also hatten beide Arturiageräte auch noch denselben Mangel, über Wordclock keine Synchronisation mit dem Audient ASP 800 hinzubekommen. Daher eine Abwertung auf einen Punkt. Von diesem Produkt kann ich derzeit leider nur abraten.
