We got the Madi card worried about our X32 in a large project (~ 30 wind players, 7-member band, 6 singers, various performers, etc.) as a monitor console to use and to dispense splitter and a lot of cables.

The X32 used only 32 of them (two channels were a submix of the whole winds - otherwise that would not have existed with the 32 channels on the X32). So we have a computer connected to the MADI-Out of the card in the X32, hoping there not only the 32 channels used by the X32 but all the input signals. According to the description, all channels not output from the X32 are also used by the board with the input signals. First of all: the setting we had to use was X32 Out: none. Not 100% intuitive, but that worked great.

Completely uncomplicated installation, no configuration necessary in the X32. In connection with the RME Madiface USB a perfect expansion of the X32, latency connection between the desk and DAW when using sophisticated plugins possible. In combination not cheap, but absolutely recommendable !!!!! Allows the X32 to sync externally.
Price for the card is absolutely fine.
