Für die Sound-Formung einer Snare

Bei dem Versuch eine Messing-Snare auf Retro zu bürsten habe ich mit Remo Skyntone-Fell und diesem Snareteppich einen ganz passablen Sound erzielt: weniger laut, weniger spitz und trotzdem die messing-typischen Obertöne und guter Kesselklang, da ich keine Dämpfung benötigte. Allerdings war ich dann auch weit von einem wuscheliegen Snare-Sound entfernt. Die Teppich-Ansprache ist eher kurz (mit anderen Worte: präzise) geraten, so wie Hersteller und Konzert-Musiker sich das wohl vorstellen und die Tuning-Range für die Teppichspannung ist recht klein.
Der BS-Strainer ist etwas kürzer als meine übrigen Standart-Strainer aus Stahl und Bronze, woraus eine weniger sensible Ansprache folgte. Hatte den Eindruck, dass das auch das Reso-Fell stärker abdämpft und zu einem nicht unwesentlichen Teil auf den Gesamt-Höreindruck wirkt.
