This keyboard has a great amount of features, it would be nearly perfect if.... the pads weren't as bad as they are, it's really hard to drum consistently. Also, the software which is used to reprogram the presets and select midi messages just does not work properly. I have contacted Roland support and tried different combinations, Windows 7 and Windows 8.1, but the best i've ever got is to program just one fader. The sending of sysex data seems to go ok (the program gives no errors) but it only reprograms one slider. Now I am looking for a keyboard that would not be tied to any DAW and could be reprogrammed more reliably (and not reliant on one program).

La qualité Roland

Comme beaucoup de contrôleur/clavier midi, ce produit offre de nombreuses possibilité. Coté solidité c'est du Roland, alors de ce point de vue ça tient vraiment bien la route. Les potentiomètres sont solides ainsi que les faders. Le poids en dit long aussi.
Les touches du piano ne sont pas "lourde" comme pourrait aimer un vrai pianiste de formation, mais ceci dit ça reste agréable à jouer.
Un menu assez complet permet de configurer le clavier en mode Spilt, pour avoir accès à 2 sons différents en même temps.
Un petit logiciel, le "A-500 Pro Editor" est fourni avec et permet d'assigner n'importe quel message midi aux contrôleurs. C'est très pratique quand on veut faire un mapping midi assez précis et complet en vue de l'utilisation avec des logiciels comme Ableton Live par exemple.
Les entrées et sorties sont située sur le coté de l'appareil et visuellement sur scène c'est plus sympa.
Un bon outil en somme. Ca fait 2 mois que je l'ai et j'en suis très satisfait.

Un buen Producto de gama media

Estoy bastante satisfecho con la compra que he realizado.
A simple vista y al tacto este controlador midi es fuerte contra posibles golpes. Las teclas son robustas y reaccionan perfectamente, los knobs y sliders van bastante bien, aunque un poco inesactos para mi gusto. A los 8 botones les pasa algo parecido, pero si no se les da caña funcionan bien. Trae consigo, su software de edicion y de composicion. La compatibilidad con diferentes softwares de edicion musical es muy buena.
En Definitiva es un producto recomendable tanto para estudio como para directo siempre que su uso sea moderaro, vamos que si pensais darle caña compraos otro mas robusto.

Hardware sehr gut, Softwareanbindung schlecht

Die Tastatur und die Regler sind gut, die Pads etwas zu klein, sehr gut verarbeitet.
Das beigelegte USB-Kabel ist zu kurz, aber es hat auch mit einem 5m Kabel funktioniert.
Das Display ist zu klein.
Die beigelegte Software Sonar X1 LE hat mir zwar im Prinzip gefallen, ist aber bei den mitgelieferten Synthies (Cakewalk Sound Center, SI-Drum Kit und Square l.) ziemlich knapp bemessen, es gab nur eine abgespeckte Version mit geschätzten 120 Sounds (Cakewalk Sound Center).
Diese ließen sich teilweise mit den Reglern (2-4) des A500 ändern, ansonsten waren die Regler "umsonst", da eine einfache Anbindung an die Software nicht (einfach) möglich war.
Wenn ich erst mal bis zu 2000 Seiten (Sonar X1 Ref. Handbuch) lesen muss ...
Für mich muss sich Software "relativ" intuitiv bedienen lassen, ohne erst stundenlang Handbücher zu lesen. Teilweise stimmten die Handbucheinträge nicht, z.B. bei der Control Map.
Der A-Pro Editor funktioniert zwar, aber es gibt keine beschriebenen, ladbaren Voreinstellungen.
Man kann zwar jeden einzelnen Key, usw. belegen, aber nur sehr mühsam!!! "Tausend" Klicks zur Control Map. Ich bin Anfänger und will und kann (Zeit) mich nicht tagelang mit so etwas beschäftigen.
Es gibt einen guten Foreneintrag: auch noch Musik Maker 2014 Premium Bundle gekauft, die Keys gingen zwar, aber der Rest war umsonst. Da hätt ich auch ein einfaches Keyboard ohne Zusatzfunktionen nehmen können.
Dies war mir vorher nicht klar, dass die Anbindung an die Software oft nicht geht, z.B. bräuchte man Magix Samplitude um eine Control Map nutzen zu können. (Magix Support).
So hab ich das Teil leider zurückgeschickt, hatte wohl falsche Vorstellungen von dem was ich da (auch an Zeit) investieren muss.
