I have bought 2 DVC gold's and this one as a backup. The build quality is ok and the price is really afordable but when it comes to features you can use in program it offers a very limited options.

Limited number of steps, limited number of running scenes, and limited number of dmx channels. It has an software upgrade option which unlocks more channels scenes and steps but it costs additonal 80-100¤ which isn't cheap. And when you sum it up its better to buy an DVC gold then to get this one and then buy the upgrade.

If you are an begginer and you are looking for a cheap and basic solution this is ok but if you are looking for something more buy gold instead.

Günstiges DMX-Interface mit toller Software

Das DMX-Interface wurde erworben, weil ich die DVC4-Software sehr einfach zu bedienen, übersichtlich und vor Allem für DJs sehr praktisch finde.

Das Interface ist aus Kunststoff und sehr leicht, aber sowohl die USB- als auch die DMX-Buchse (mit Sicherungsklammer) sind sehr robust. Allerdings fällt es gerne mal vom Tisch, wenn ein schweres DMX-Kabel an diesem zieht. Ich verwende meistens das Klettband des DMX-Kabels, das das Kabel im aufgerollten Zustand zusammenhält, am DJ-Tisch, um diese Zugkräfte nicht auf das Interface zu übertragen. Das funktioniert immer sehr gut.

Die Software ist sowohl für DJs als auch bei Konzerten sehr zu empfehlen. Mittlerweile ist sie seit einigen Jahren aus der anfangs etwas holprigen Beta-Phase raus und stürzt auch nicht mehr ab (anfangs war das schon ab und an der Fall). Die eingebauten Effektgeneratoren sind insbesondere bei Matrixeffekten oder Pan-/Tiltbewegungen sehr hilfreich.

Daslight bzw. Nicolaudie (Hersteller des Interfaces) bieten den Service, Fixtures für das Programm kostenlos zu erstellen, sollten diese in der Gerätebibliothek fehlen. Alternativ kann man sich aber über den Fixture-Editor selbst behelfen. Hierfür gibt es aber keine Anleitung, man muss die .exe-Datei "ScanLibrary-Editor.exe" aus dem Installationspfad selbstständig starten und sich dort einarbeiten. Nach etwa einer Stunde sollte man aber alle Funktionen verstanden haben.

Der oben genannte Punkt ist der einzige Kritikpunkt, den ich an der Software auszusetzen habe. Es gibt keine Dokumentation zur Software. Die Bedienung ist jedoch sehr intuitv.

Über die Internetseite dmxsoft.com kann man für das Interface darüber hinaus zusätzliche Kanäle erwerben (bis 512), andere Softwarelizenzen (Sunlite, ...) und die Stand-Alone-Pins freischalten. Das Interface synchronisiert sich selbstständig über ein kleines Tool über das Internet. Hat man wie ich die Vollversion von DVC4 erworben (definitiv empfehlenswert, Kostenpunkt ca. 80¤), so muss alle 45 Tage bei der Verwendung eine Internetverbindung vorliegen, damit diese Vollversion auch als solche funktioniert. Man kann bei einem Gig also bequem einmal vorher die Software mit Internet starten, das Interface am USB-Anschluss anhängen und dann entspannt zum Gig fahren.

Klare Kaufempfehlung von meiner Seite.
