Finally being able to source vintage correct Dearmond Rythmn Chief 1000 pickups for archtop guitars is a dream come true!

This thing clocks in at 15K and uses alnico magnets like the vintage units.

The sound is vintage correct too and the build quality means that this pickup is in a much better condition than any of the vintage ones you might source off Ebay for 5 times the price.

Bon micro- Attention au montage

Pas facile à monter sur une Epiphone Emperor Régent. Il m'a fallut fabriquer une pièce montée sur la plaque de protection pour fixer le micro côté opposé à la tige, et passer la patte du micro dedans. J'aurais souhaité une adaptation plus facile.

Le son est beau, bien équilibré, confortable quand on tourne les potentiomètres.

Il y a des basses bien présentes, bel équilibre avec les médiums et les aigus légèrement aigrelets. On entend tout, en solo, en accord, en picking.

Je ne regrette absolument pas cet achat.

J'avais déjà essayé ultérieurement par deux fois le RC 1100, et constaté sa non homogénéité d'équilibre entre chaque corde, malgré les plots réglables. J'ai donc renvoyé à chaque fois (merci au service après vente Thomann) ce micro. Puis, dépité et agacé par ces échecs, j'ai essayé le RC1000 en me disant on verra bien. Et là...merveille, car contrairement à ce qu'on peut penser (pas de plots réglables), l'équilibre entre chaque corde est parfait (j'utilise des D'Addario Chromes ECG26). Le son est celui espéré d'un tel micro et conforme au vintage.

Im Vergleich mit einem Original Pickup aus den 50er Jahren ist kein Unterschied zu hören, Widerstand ist nahezu identisch.In Verbinding mit einer Saitenerdung ist er auch so gut wie brummfrei. Er bildet selbst Bronze - Saiten gleichmäßig ab.
