Super Standalone Cotroller

Nach einigen Jahren, in denen ich mit den DEONON DN-MC6000 MK2 als mobiler DJ unterwegs war, wurde es Zeit für ein Nachfolgegerät. Dabei war es mir wichtig ein qualitativ hochwertiges Standalone-System zu kaufen. DENON hat mit den neuen Controllern DJ Prime 2 & DJ Prime 4 genau die richtigen Systeme auf den Markt gebracht. Einfach anschließen und loslegen, ohne einen Laptop anzuschließen, so habe ich mir das Ganze vorgestellt.
Ich habe mich für den Prime 2 entschieden, da er etwas handlicher ist als der Prime 4 und trotzdem alle für mich wichtigen Funktionen im DJ Alltag mitbringt. Er hat zwar nur 2 Kanäle + einen Aux-Eingang. Mit einem Kopfhörer lässt sich der Aux-Eingang sich jedoch Vergleich zu vielen anderen 2-Kanal-Controllern vorhören und in der Lautstärke regeln.
Die Verarbeitung und der Sound sind super. Alle Regler und Knöpfe machen einen hochwertigen Eindruck und lassen sich gut bedienen. Der Prime 2 ist logisch aufgebaut und lässt nach kurzer Eingewöhnungsphase sehr intuitiv bedienen.
Überragend ist die auch die auf den Prime 2 installierte Software, welche sich im Zusammenhang mit den 7“ Touchdisplay und der leistungsstarken Hardware sehr gut bedienen lässt.
Meine Tracks und Playlisten habe ich alle auf eine SSD (exFat-Format) gepackt und diese in den DJ Prime 2 (auf der Unterseite) eingebaut. Dazu habe ich die DJ Engine Prime Software auf einen Laptop installiert. Mit der DENON Engine Prime lassen sich Songs komfortabel verwalten sowie Loops und CUE komfortabel setzen und speichern. Im Vergleich zur Pioneer Rekordbox-SW finde ich die Engine Prime Software nicht ganz so umfangreich. Es lassen sich aber auch mit der Prime Engine-SW Rekordbox-Playlisten integrieren.
Ein weiteres besonderes Highlight der Denon Prime 2/4/GO Geräte ist die sehr gute Integration der Musikstreaming Plattform TIDAL. Damit lassen sich auch (natürlich abhängig vom gewählten Abo) Songs im FLAC-Format streamen und über den Prime 2 wiedergeben.
Weiterhin sind mir die folgenden Punkte sehr positiv aufgefallen:
- Jogwheels mit HD-Display, in denen u.a. Albumcover und Loop-Funktionen angezeigt werden können
- 3 USB Anschlüsse, davon kann einer auch zum Handy aufladen genutzt werden.
- Ein USB und ein 1 SD-Kartenslot auf der Geräteoberseite
- WLAN-Funktion
- Integriertes Netzteil
- XLR Master & Booth Ausgänge
- je 8 Trigger-Pads / Deck
Vermisst habe ich die Samplerfunktion.
Fazit: Ich bin davon überzeugt den „richtigen“ DJ-Controller für meinen DJ-Alltag gefunden zu haben.

DJ in streaming

La migliore caratteristica della consolle è che può connettersi direttamente ad internet con il wifi, il che consente di suonare con brani scaricati in streaming. il repertorio è sterminato, con Tidal, e il divertimento è assicurato. La qualità del prodotto è superlativa e l'uso è intuitivo, il che permette di entrare immediatamente in sintonia con ogni suo componente. Il software è preciso, senza sbavature. Penso che sia la miglior consolle standalone sul mercato. Consigliatissima. Thomann top: prodotto arrivato tre giorni prima del previsto.

..ich find es mega! Gewechselt von Traktor DJ jetzt auf das DJ Prime 2- super Verarbeitung, top features.. überlege schon auf das 4er hochzu stufen. Zum üben Zuhause ideal.. der Umstieg auf die großen Brüder Denon DJ SC6000 oder vergleichbare Pioneer Player ist easy.. funzen alle ähnlich..

Ich bin Hobby und Mobile DJ, aber auch ab und zu mal in einem Club. Dafür sollte er genutzt werden.
Aus diesem Gesichtspunkt meine Pros&Cons

+ Top verarbeitet
+ Bedienung ist ein Traum, Speziell der Touchscreen und die Jogwheels
+ Ausgänge und Soundausgabe sind Top
- Schwer
- Groß
- Der Neigungswinkel des Displays ist fest
- Die Displays in den Jogwheels sind nicht Blickwinkelstabil (wirken Blass wenn man schräg schaut)
- Die Displays in den Jogwheels lösen nicht sehr hoch auf
- Der Deckindikator für baldiges Trackende ist zu unscheinbar (Schön wäre ein LED Ring im Jogwheel wie beim Prime4)

Fazit:
Ein sehr schönes Standalone Gerät. Jedoch für mich dann doch leider zu groß und zu schwer. Werde wohl den Prime Go nehmen.
