These are my Strings!
Immanuel F. 19.02.2014
If you play bass, you're probably familiar with the endless search for the perfect set of strings to fit your playing best. My personal requirements to the strings are:

Direct response & clear Sound with a nice low end
Consistency of tone inbetween strings
Nice Fingerstyle and Slaptone
The price obviously always plays a certain role

I use them on a Musicman Stingray with a 2-bd EQ, and the first 3 points are completely fulfilled. The Strings are rather tight tuned to E-Standard, but absolutely playable (I'd rather take the 100 or 105 Set for E), the perfect tuning is probably D-Standard. I've played them in a C-Standard Tuning, they do still sound good, but if you're going to play in a Metal Band, you'll need a little bit more definition with those low C's (I'll try the 5 String 120 Set for this purpose).

As far as the durability is concerned, they do sound very good for a month, they sound good (like playing live good, not studio environment good) for at least another 1-2 months.

To conclude, if you can afford these Strings, they're definitely worth their money. I just give them 4 stars because of the high price.

Just what my Spector needs!
Ja_Prek_S_Arma 14.03.2022
Been playing a Spector Euro bass, and tried all kinds of strings to see what is THE string for them.
Usually all my basses have different strings - the ones that are perfect for one bass, aren't for the other, and vice versa.
DR Hi Beams - just perfect for my Spector!!!
I have it all - LOTS of highs and LOTS of bass (regardless of the highs that they are based on), lots of definition, all growl that i want - and option to transfer it to cristally clear clean, and they sit in mix great - it's all there!
They are long lasting - and always great sounding with string cleaning i do after every playing.
For me - 10/10!!

DR
Bright, punchy, piano like
Dermot R. 09.06.2013
My favourite strings after a long time looking. The heavy gauge adds punch. Nice balance, and bright piano style tone. Quite long lasting for bass strings. The only strings I use on my fretted bass. Worth the extra money.
