Ich bin kein Schlagzeugprofi und kann es nur mit meinem vorherigen Tama Imperialstar Set vergleichen. Becken hatte ich mir schon separat gekauft, nun sollte ein bezahlbares und zugleich schickes Kesselset her. Der Sound ist klasse, vor allem die Toms haben mich komplett überzeugt. Die Felle habe ich allerdings durch Pinstripe Felle von Remo ersetzt, was meines Erachtens nochmal deutlich mehr Volumen aus den Drums herausgeholt hat.

Ich hätte eigentlich lieber eine 22er Basstrommel, aber dann würden auch die Toms noch höher hängen, was ich nicht brauchen kann, bei mir ist sowieso alles auf niedrigster Höhe eingestellt. Zu der 20er Basedrum ist auch immer die etwas kleinere Standtom gekoppelt, auch hier hätte ich eigentlich gerne die größere - ich muss aber zugeben, dass die Kopplung vermutlich sinnvoll ist, denn der Klang passt gut zusammen . Ich spiele dazu eine Yamaha Messing-Snare, die farblich wie klanglich perfekt zum Set passt.

Apropos Farbe: Eigentlich hatte ich mich schon vor Jahren in ein matt-türkises Set von Yamaha verguckt, aber das ist einfach für meine Spielklasse preislich nicht denkbar. Also dachte ich: Na gut, das hier ist wenigstens grün. Aber nein, das Foto täuscht: Sea Foam ist ein gigantisch schönes matt türkis!! Ich bin voll verliebt!
