I was initially pleased with the build quality as it felt really robust for this type of interface but after a couple of months use the USB output was intermittent. As we only have the one interface to run our light show we took the top off in desperation just before showtime to try to get it working and by sheer luck found the mini USB socket had clicked out of the PCB. It is still working but the socket is now held in with a piece of gaffa and some foam - It is probably just bad luck that mine had this fault but it caused some heart stopping moments when the whole thing failed

Lovely USB to DMX
Rhys M 02.10.2019
Brought this as cant afford any gear from MA, and was very pleased how it preforms.

- Able to use any software I would like, with or without of Artnet to DMX software
- Built with metal case so it wont crack, unlike plastic
- Comes with 4 rubber feet so it wont get scratched on the table or other surfaces

- Uses USB 2.0 with is quite annoying because I tried with 3.0 and the DMX output was not stable, unable to be used with USB 3.0

Not yet used RDM with the device, because I don't have any RDM fixtures. Works amazing with Onyx, haven't used any other lighting software, but I expect it to behave the same way.

For the price and size of this USB to DMX, and able to output 2 universes, I will definitely carry on using it for the upcoming years.

Ideal with Freestyler
Gilbz 26.11.2018
Needed another universe and this does the job.
The only negative is the USB input being (don't know the name) the same as you'd use on an android phone. The interface is quite heavy and I feel the input isn't sturdy enough.

Having said that it's a great DMX interface and works amazingly well with Freestyler

Read this before plugging it in

Works fine once I sussed out the USB lead. At first USB connect was very intermittent. I cut away some of the plastic molding on the USB plug on the lead that was stopping it plug in all the way and it was fine after that.
Apart from that it the unit is fine.
