Awesome guitar
Buttsy 12.04.2021
Puts more expensive guitars to shame.

Coil splitting and Out of phase switch are handy tools, and the sound from the probuckers is great for a loud rock sound.

Neck feels great to play and the action was good out of the box.

Flame maple looks amazing. Very happy with this guitar

My review of Epiphone SG Modern Figured Trans Black
Borsic 23.07.2020
It's a great guitar. Better than i expected. Very light and the sound is just good. I would prefer this guitar for all who are looking for something new in the old models. And the finish is just ... Amazing!

N
incredible specs for price - needs adjustments out of the box
NoraPatches 18.09.2023
I love how long the neck is with 24 frets. The guitar came with a very high actin and the intonation was also bad, but I suspect this is often the case with international shippings - especially taking it into account the that guitar travels tuned down in a box for days. I need to adjust the neck relief, but there was no hex-wrench in the box. :( I tried adjusting the action and intonation, but there's still a but more relief the neck needs so I'm taking it to a guitar technician.
Overall the locking tuners are great, I like the sound of the pickups too, and there's tons of tone variation with the coil tap and phase switch options. The nut is a bit high and my F is a bit sharp.
I absolutely fell in love with the finish, but be advised it looks a darker brown-greyish brown in regular sunlight not as woody as on the photos.
UPDATE: so I took it to my guitar technician and some of the frets were VERY unleveled, I'm unsure if it was only mine or is it true for the whole series. It didn't cost an awful lot to fix it, but hey, my Emperor Swingster's frets very 90% ok from factory.. Still a very cool guitar though

Great looking and playing instrument!
AntonZP 15.01.2024
I bought it for my son (15 years old). He wrote:

This guitar gives a great bang for the buck!
Insane amount of features while keeping that classic SG look.
Coil split and phase switch gives you great versatility, and asymmetrical neck profile is even more comfortable than i expected it to be!
Love the locking tuners, which aren't even present on the Gibson variant!
Overall, a great looking and playing instrument!
