Not what you'd expect

You'd think that a double 7 mil ply head with oil between them would sound dead and dull, but you'd be wrong. This is an Evans head, after all.

True, you will lose a little (really just a little) expression, but then again this isn't a batter head for jazz drummers. The added punch and the ease of tuning more than make up for that, not to mention the fact that this thing can be tuned to insane heights of pitch without breaking a sweat.

I used it for low tunings

And it delivered. Phat. Looks cool too, especially next to black Onyx. It sounds boxy in some tunings, this can be limiting to its use.

Excellent muffler

The reason I choose this series of drum kids for my GRETCH renowned Maple drums was the fact that this real double layer drum sets with providing with super muffling and the sound was a little bit dark something that was my thing to look for.

Great series
