Well-balanced processed sound at a great price!
esoterra23 28.09.2018
I'm a hobbyist songwriter and recording enthusiast, and I purchased the Eve Audio SC207 monitors for use in my small project studio. I purchased one that was open box and one brand new. I can't tell which is which, so buy open box if available. I haven't compared them side-by-side to the Adam A7X speakers, but I don't think the treble sounds as hyped as I recall the A7X's sounding. Because of the DSP, these speakers sound a little "processed" with a slight digital character, but I think the DSP makes them sound well-balanced. To me, the A7X's treble sounded a little sweet, like a modern day NS-10M. Eve Audio's integrated DSP offers precision control of high and low EQ curves, as well as a "desk" curve to adjust for desk surface reflection. When comparing Eve Audio's speakers to Adam or HEDD brands, who use similar ribbon tweeters, I noticed that neither of Eve's competitors published their frequency response chart. I would suspect that the DSP helps to make the Eve Audio speakers more accurate, at least on paper. I've paired my speakers with Sonarworks Reference 4 in order to compensate for the inadequacies of my small treated room. As a result, I think my studio sounds pretty decent. In fact, I feel confident that no other speaker in this price range would sound better. When I purchased my SC207's in August (2018), Thomann shipped them to my home in Florida, USA... and the shipping was a flat $35 with no other import or customs fees. That's cheaper than I could get them shipped from within the US! The total price was amazing and my experience was on par with that of any US online retailer. I'm now a new fan of Thomann and Eve Audio.

Superb studio monitoring solution
Jay from the U.S. 06.02.2020
For comparison, I have primarily used Event and Equator Audio studio monitors in the past. Both of those have been excellent (and have translated fairly well); however, the Eve SC207 pair is a significant improvement and well worth the expense.

These are being used as the near-field monitors in the studio's mixing space, and they are paired with an Eve subwoofer to extend the frequency range of the system a bit. Fit and finish are outstanding. The manual is a bit difficult to understand in parts (probably only with regard to the English translation, however) - that said, I had no issues setting everything up and dialing the monitors in. They were well matched in output (within 1db), and they display a remarkable ability to represent the stereo field quite faithfully. Mixes done on them translate quite well (although I would always recommend a secondary mono setup with a "less than flat" speaker as a phase/radio check!).

I strongly recommend the Eve's - they are well worth their very reasonable cost. Thomann was great as a dealer (and I'm in the U.S.) - everything went very smoothly.

First EVE product for me, definitely not last!
Anonymous 30.01.2017
For 2 years I google and talk to people and all sorts of advice was handed to me and eventualy unabled me to buy any speakers at all. I decided to blindly buy SC207 just because it is "something different" as in not adam dynaudio or focal. AX7, Alpha 65 and SC207 are to me similar sounding speakers, but eventualy find their differences in Genres. In my opinion, SC207 are more versatile since it can reach low Hz in low volumes which enables me to work for long time. I can hear everything very clearly and are very loud if you want them to be.
My take - dont worry too much, just buy a set of speakers that will get you working, each monitor takes getting used to and working on them makes you adapt better to them and your room. Just start working and leave this techincal thing aside, choose 1 you cant go wrong! especialy with thomann and their return policys with excelent customer feedback!

Huge respect for the boys in Berlin with their SC 207.
Cheers all!

Pleasure for the ears.

Upgraded from simple 5" Samson A5s.
Oh man, what a difference. Really wish I mixed my album on these.

Very clear sound, they're very similar to Adam A7x's but with a little less harsh trebles. They're a little more balanced, natural and soft. Still pristine highs and solid lows.

Best monitors in that price range.
Anonymous 15.07.2014
I used these monitors for mixing and producing daily for one month now and I have to say that they are amazing. The level of detail, depth of field, and stereo image are truly impressive, and so it is the overall tonal balance. Bass response is also incredibly precise for monitors of this size.

An interesting feature is that an internal DSP is present to adjust the sound to any specific room. This obviously doesn't replace proper sound treatment but it can definitely help. Only drawback to this product

The SC207 are very well built, they look and feel solid and I find the overall look of them very appealing.

What make these monitor stand out from any other monitor in their price range though is their sound. I have tried other famous brands around that price tag and I have decided for the EVEs because I had the impression I could mix right away with them. Good mixes sound good and mistakes in bad mixes are ruthlessly exposed.
I get a great tonal balance no matter the volume (they can get pretty loud too) and from top to bottom the level of detail is amazing, taking into account that these are 2-way speakers. I did an A/B test with the 8-inch SC208 and I have to say that I prefer the SC207 because of their tonal balance and detail.

I highly recommend these monitors, for their price they are in my opinion the best you can get.

s
good speakers but..
serf 15.02.2020
After returning 2 speakers with the same crackling noise issue (which seem'd like a series problem because both speakers i sent back had very close serial numbers) I was finally able to listen to them properly and i must say I'm very pleased by the sound quality but got a bit worried about the fact that there are some series that have some issues and most likely slight different sound character. So give a good listening test with AB comparison and so on when you get yours

I ordered a set of the sc207s and the ts107 from Germany over seas to the US. Totally worth the wait and money. Im also running these thru a apollo |twin solo with Canare Cables. Sound quality is just beyond amazing and clear.

Died few months after warranty
Anonymous 12.09.2023
Awesome monitors in features and sound quality. Design is top notch as well. Love it in all aspect, except one thing. The warranty is just 2 years and one of the two monitors I have died few months after warranty is over. Just makes constant high-pitched noise (like a broken radio) and blinks with all lights. Sounds like PSU issue, but I am not an expert. Trying to reach to Eve Audio - but not even a confirmation for the support ticket... Might go to Adams which at least have 5 years warranty.

Imaging is overwhelming
denzell 27.01.2021
Outstanding speakers. After thoroughly researching for months, I have decided to get these bad boys and they are excellent eventhough my room has 0 treatment and tons of echo lol.

Starting from the tight lows that you can feel in your chest all the way to the crispy sweet highs, you can hear every frequency range perfectly. Don't get me started on the imaging. If you position them correctly, it feels like 5.1

Best bang for the buck, don't even hesitate.

Amazing audio quality for studio work, aesthetically pleasing, awful internals - first problems occur 1-2 years into usage(likely capacitors blowing or amp malfunctioning)
