Superb instrument

I have to start by pointing out that I'm not a ukulele player (I do play guitar passable well) - this is a gift for a friend who is.
It resonates well, has a lovely bright tone and is beautifully made. It's a very playable instrument - and yes I couldn't resist having a go on it for a while. The Fender uke was too tempting to resist - it was such fun and put a smile on my face.
And excellent customer service from Thomann as well - thanks guys!

The ukulele is in my opinion beautifully processed and has a round, full sound. But I'm still a beginner, therefore unfortunately have hardly any possibility of comparison. A tip for beginners: immediately order the tuner, then you can start immediately :-)

We already have an older Fender ukulele in the house, but the new one sounds a lot better. But think that this is mainly due to the strings. The old ukulele (Nohea) has 4 nylon (??) strings, the Montecito comes with a low G string. Do not know exactly what it is, but the Montecito sounds a lot better than the old Nohea.

The paint is shiny, me in the description of the statement "natural satin" a bit irritated. I was afraid that she might have a matt finish, but she has a glossy finish (you can see that in the photos too) and I really like the abalone inlays, they're just beautiful!

Since I was not sure which ukulele I should order, I also looked at the Fender homepage a video, then the decision was made. Incidentally, the instrument looks much better in REAL than in the photos !! In the video you can judge that a bit better, also the sound and the difference between the different sizes (soprano concert tenor) you can see quite well there. I can only recommend the video for beginners!

Anyway, I have a lot of fun with my new instrument :-)))

The gig bag is already there, I also find it very convenient. The is not padded, but well suited for storage. He has an extra compartment on the front and a belt. But then I have ordered a new bag, which is very well padded and fits exactly for this ukulele: Ibanez Powerpad IUBT541-BK. Now nothing really can happen.
