Fender Player Series Tele MN BLK Electric Guitar

The Fender Telecaster is an integral part of Rock history, and Fender is keeping this spirit alive with the Player Series Tele MN BLK, an instrument that comes in a classic black finish and combines all of the attributes associated with a genuine Tele. These include an alder body, a slim maple neck with a maple fingerboard, and pickups with AlNiCo-V magnets, which have been specially developed for the Player Series and provide an enormously versatile sound that will fit seamlessly into many musical styles. This is rounded off by the typical Tele-type bridge, which delivers an extra helping of resonance with its string-through-body design, and a set of reliable machine heads that adorn the guitar's classic Telecaster headstock.

Pure playability

Anyone playing Country, Blues, or any kind of Rock & Roll can’t go wrong with a Telecaster. The Tele has a well-earned reputation as one of the world's most playable electric guitars, and the Player Series Tele is no exception. With its slim, matt-lacquered maple neck and 22-fret high-gloss maple fingerboard, players get a combination of finishes that used to be available only on much more expensive models. The two New Player AlNiCo-V single coil pickups deliver the typical Tele sound, which of course includes the familiar "twang" that can be controlled via a three-way switch, as well as a single control each for volume and tone. The instrument’s authentic looks would of course not be complete without the classic metal bridge plate, which thanks to the string-through-body design and steel saddles provides an extra portion of resonance and sustain.

The comfortable slim-taper maple neck should appeal to everyone, and the New Player AlNiCo-V single coils put everything from crystalline cleans through to full-on overdrive sounds at the player's fingertips, with the Telecaster's trademark assurance that the sound will always cut through the mix while delivering plenty of headroom and of course the famous "Tele twang".

About Fender

Fender is without doubt one of the most legendary guitar and amplifier manufacturers of all time. The company was founded in 1946 by its namesake Leo Fender († 1991), whose innovative ideas brought a breath of fresh air into the musical world. His Telecaster, Stratocaster, Precision Bass, and Jazz Bass are not only classics – they also continue to shape the styles of musicians in countless genres to this day. Timeless Fender amplifier models such as the Bassman, Twin, Deluxe, and Princeton also enjoy a stellar reputation. Besides maintaining its classic product portfolio, however, the company is also constantly developing new products that make Fender a driving force in today’s music industry.

Versatile AlNiCo-V pickups

The Fender Player Series Telecaster's combination of a solid wood body and neck together with its New Player AlNiCo-V single coils gives it the authentic "Tele" sound described above, which makes this instrument a great choice for any style even remotely associated with Rock & Roll. And the guitar truly comes into its own when combined with a high-quality tube amplifier that brings out every nuance of its sound - perfect for the studio, the rehearsal room, and the stage, all of which the Fender Telecaster has long called home.

Awesome

Best tele I've owned. The Player series are basically US guitars in disguise. I think at this point, you'd be crazy to pay US prices anymore. There's nothing wrong with this guitar. At worst, expect to polish or shave some fret sprout, but that's a quick job. This was the best guitar I've owned. Period.

Great value
TelePlay 04.05.2020
I use this guitar mainly at home to play the blues, funk, pop and rock. You can definitely play a gig with it.

Pros:
- Great build quality, it feels very robust.
- Extremely comfortable guitar, the frets are having a good distance from each other and the neck finish is very smooth.
- Simple interface, knobs etc are placed logically.

Cons:
- If you are more into necks that are thinner I would look for another guitar.

Conclusion:
The Fender Telecaster is a legendary artefact with a specific distinctive snappy sound. It has a great build quality. If you are a beginner, this is a great guitar to start with because of its ease of use and simplicity.

T
wonderfully playable classic
TooBarFoo 07.05.2020
This is my first Fender and first single coil. After 15 years with the same LP and 335 I wanted something smaller, lighter and less fragile. Just five hours since it was delivered and I'm already thrilled.
The fit and finish is great. It was playable out the box but benefited from the action lowering a bit. Intonation was close to perfect.
The black on black with maple contrast looks great. The neck feels great to play on. The fret ends could be smoother but I'm coming off 20 year old guitars that have been polished by my hands most days. I will probably give them a dressing.

Pickups sound great to my ears, a couple of hours and I was able to get a great range of tones from them.

It looked like Thomann had opened the box and given the guitar a visual inspection and resealed which is reassuring when ordering online. I'll happily shop with them again

Overall I am very happy with a great instrument at a reasonable price point.

Great guitar for beginners. Easy to play, sound is good..
I had to adjust pickup heigh but other than that it came at my door ready to plug in and play.
And thanks to Thomann for their fast and safe delivery (as always). :)
