Silent power

I bought this unit at the urging of a musician/producer colleague who runs a successful home studio business.. he tested my Focusrite 18i8 with a cheaper Chinese-made PSU I'd previously procured and detected a ferocious earth hum in his headphones....no such problem with this unit! Arrived promptly from Thomann too, so top marks all round!!

Gutes Ersatznetzteil

Ich habe mir das Netzteil als Zusatz zu meinem Scarlett 18i8 gekauft, weil ich dieses normalerweise stationär betreibe. So muss ich bei einem Mobileinsatz nicht immer hinter den Schreibtisch kriechen, um das Netzteil zu suchen. Funktion und Haptik sind einwandfrei.

L'alim de ma 18i8 gen1 avait rendu l'âme. Je pensait que c'était la carte son qui était morte, et j'avais du coup racheté une autre scarlett, gen2 cette fois. En pluggant l'alim neuve sur l'ancienne carte son, miracle, les led frontales ne sont plus écarlates, et tout fonctionne.

Bref, j'ai commandé cette alim pour remplacer l'alim de ma 18i8 Gen1, et ça fonctionne parfaitement.

La seule raison pour laquelle je mets pas 5 étoiles, c'est qu'elle a le meme défaut que l'alim d'origine, puisque c'est strictement la même alim: C'est fragile. Le câble est fin, très fin à mon goût. Donc lorsque je voyage avec ma carte son, j'ai toujours peur que le transport use l'alim jusqu'à sa mort comme précédemment.
