Excellent DAC/Amp for the price

I am really happy with this device, it has many positive features..

1. The sound quality is very good, clean and detailed.
2. It does not get very hot even after hours of use.
3. The finish of the unit is very good.
4. It has a front button to select if the sound goes to the RCA outputs or headphones.
5. Balanced XLR headphone connection.

There aren't any real negative aspects on this DAC/AMP but after trying to think to include negative points I came up with 2 minor ones..

1. The face of unit is a finger print magnet since it is high gloss sort of glass panel.

2. On certain windows versions, you need to have a particular windows update in order for the usb driver to work, prior to this update the driver was not in the digitally signed list so it won't be activated by windows.

Overall, in this price range, this DAC HP amp is one the best available. Totally recommended by me.

Très bon ampli + DAC (mais limité pour les VST)

Tout d'abord il faut dire que cet ampli DAC est très bien construit, il est compact, stable, reconnu sans problème sous Windows, rien à redire.
Concernant les prestations sonores avec mon Audio Technica ATH-R70X, c'est là encore parfait. Pas de souffle, le son est clair sans être trop analytique. Il tire toutes les qualités de mon casque.
Le seul problème avec le DAC est que je l'utilise pour jouer d'un instrument virtuel (VST), j'ai donc besoin d'une très faible latence. Et là la bête résiste, impossible de descendre en dessous de 10 ms de latence sur Ivory cantalibe (il n'accepte pas la baisse de buffer size). J'ai essayé les drivers ASIO4ALL, les drivers Fostex ASIO... Rien à faire.

En résumé, excellent appareil sauf pour jouer en temps réel d'un VST.

Top Preis-Leistungsverhältnis. Da momentan keine hochqualitative Soundkarten mit aktuellem Treiber für einen Win 10 PC erhältlich sind, habe ich mich für dieses Gerät entschieden. Ich nutze am PC aktive Lautsprecher mit einem velodyne spl 1000 Subwoofer. Habe auch einen Sennheiser HD650 Kopfhörer mit balanced Kabel. Einsatzbereich ist Musik hören (mp3, ape, flac). Das Gerät hat super Sound und ist optisch / mechanisch TOP. Bin sehr zufrieden.
