Great distortion pedal!
Finally a pedal that does what it needs to do. Most dual distortion pedals have a boost section that in general boosts the gain of the pedal, and I wanted and needed a volume boost. I have owned a Blackstar HT Metal pedal for a long time, but it was to bulky, and needed a seperate power supply and had a tube in it. For a non stop gigging musician those 3 things are a no no, at least for me. So with this product I got a normal sized pedal, two volume independant channels (gain trimpot inside of pedal, awesome) and it runs on 9V (or 18V with a double cable). And the sound... fantastic. Some of the online videos don't do this pedal justice. When you try it and play it, the feel of a Friedman tube amp that you get is unbelievable... the EQ is not extreme and is very usable, it has a lot of gain but even all the way up it is not unusable, the little presence knob and the tight switch is fantastic too for fine tuning your sound depending on what guitar and amp you use. Very versatile. Usually I can say at least one bad thing about a product but this time I have nothing.. Thank you Friedman.

Good preamp bad quality parts
Has been looking for a backup pedalboard for my Axe FX3.
Pros: I was able to dial good "pushed Marshall" tone with Boss SD-1 in front.
Cons:
* The input jacks are very tight. After first use they broke and became loose (both in/out) and I will be sending this back to Thomann.
* Constant noise from the pedal. Fine on low volumes, unmanageable on high. I've used it with independent power supply (battery based) so no interferences had to be expected.
* Had to crank presence and treble to 100% to cut through the mix even with the booster in front. Sounded great.
* Some controls don't do much soundwise (Treble, presence) but some are super sensitive (bass, mid, gain) and even a small micro-adjustment brings a lot of change to the sound which is not desirable in live setting.
Unfortunately the quality of this product is a gamble and is not worth the price. Very dissapointed with the purchase.

a high gain monster that sounds great at lower gain settings
This pedal has heaps upon heaps of gain. Surely more than anyone could ever need.
Modeled after the famous BE-100, this thing sounds amazing, very amp-like.
The lower gain channel sounds great with the gain at 9-o'clock.
+ dual channel is great for dialing in rhythm and lead sounds
+ lots of tonal flexibility with the gain, volume, eq, presence and tight controls
- quite expensive, but what do you expect for a dual-channel boutique pedal?

Great to have 2 channels now, with the midrange control, its like I have a 3 channel amp now, with all the gain I need! Awesome pedal, with that great Marshall character!!

Great sounding and flexible pedal
This pedals is a really nice way to get a clean and warm sound and for my taste can act as a nice preamp with a clean power amp or to shape the guitar input for an ampsim. It doesn't have the dynamics of a valve preamp but, for the prices it awesome and provides access to the Friedman sound without breaking the bank.

A great distortion pedal
After playing for many years, I saved some money to get a nice distortion. This pedal sounds really nice, but it sounded much nicer to me in the videos I watched. Still love it and keeping it. When you turn the pedal on, it gives you a huge sound. And pedal is versatile within that sound scale. Mid knob and second channel is worth it to get the deluxe.
