Not for everyone

I know that GK is a very well regarded brand but this 1x10" doesn't work for me. The sound isn't that great and I can't shape it to my taste with the provided EQ controls. The Low and High Mid controls feel awkward to me and the Treble is not significant enough. Also you can't tilt it. You need to place it on some kind of furniture in order to point the sound at your ears. It just isn't for me and I will return it.
But for a home practice amp is does the job. It's very light and feels sturdy enough. The power button is a really nice touch - no pops and turns on/off smoothly.
I guess I didn't have the right expectations. However, there are more advanced combo amps for the same price. I guess I should aim for a bigger cabinet and "more classic" tone controls in the future.

The MB110 really is an excellent piece of kit. I put off buying another small bass amp as I was intrigued by this amp's specification. I'm very glad I waited. Great sound with both my carved double bass and EB. Also sounds very good with my laminate archtop guitar. Very light and plenty loud enough for jazz venues. Very impressed (great price too!). Would be even better if GK produced a matching cover/gigbag.

Perfect little amp!

This amp really impresses me! I play a USA Fender Precision and I think 10" speakers really suit this bass. I get a lovely, warm, punchy tone out of this amp that really cuts through. For a small amp, the 100watts can get surprisingly loud and I've used it for the best part of year at all my gigs, DI-ing it for the larger venues. I use a handy little stand that tilts it upwards so I can hear it better. I've recently bought a larger head with 2x 10" cab, which is naturally a bit beefier, but when I play the GK I'm reminded just how much I love this little amp!

A great little amp perfect for small gigs and at home. It has lovely round sound without boom.
Powerful 100 watts output so not a 50 watt amp and 100 watt if you plug in another 8 ohm speaker like most. Buy it you love it
