ATTENTION it's not for ALL Jumbo Frets!
The inner groove is 2.70mm wide!
I read in the reviews that most people recommend it for Jumbo frets (or Jumbo and Medium/most fret sizes). The Jumbo Frets on my guitars are around 2.9mm wide (Ibanez RGs). The file can't fit vertically and need to be angled. The inner edge got dull after 2-3 frets. It took me a LOT of effort (hours) to finish all 24 frets (twisting for the edges/moving under high angle on Ibanez RG - 2.92mm).
On the next day I tried on Medium frets (2.1mm) and the file was working just fine.
The Jumbo frets are anywhere from 2.49 to 2.99mm wide.
3" doesn't mean up to 3mm.
I sent a message to Thomann. They must update the description.
It's my 1st Fret File, so I can't compare it to something else.
Measure the Fret width before order.

To rough to get good result
Do the job but makes the polishing process way more longer

For tall frets
Nice feel and quality fret file, but very deeply inset grooves. Might work on jumbo/tall frets, but on my strat the edges of the file hit the fingerboard before the fret was crowned properly. Would have been nice to have a z-shaped or more narrow file on one side to make it more usable for lower/smaller frets.

For JUMBO FRETS!
Why doesn't anyone say this....
Is't for jumbo frets... you beter not use it for medium frets... it's just to large... so you can't create a curve good enough.. it's just a realy flat curve if you use it for medium frets...

A low build quality but it does what its supposed to do
First off, the fret file itself does crown the frets but you are somewhat limited in terms of fret height. This file also leaves quite a rough finish but that is to be expected.
The quality on this file is lacking in my opinion. The handle is very rough and raw, not coated or sealed in any way and you can just feel how cheap it is... because it is. That is why i would still reccomend this fret file because of the price. If you are a hobbyist on a budget and just need a file to crown some frets then this is the one for you

Too expensive for what it offers
I like what it does. But the build quality is not top notch, just ok, and also after just a few guitar done (3-4) it seemed like the file was almost done.

It's a file!
It's a good tool. However the tip is closed, and that makes you knock the fret ends when you are filling. Other than that I have no problems with it.

Only for high frets
Great tool but is should be considered that it cannot be used for small and medium frets because of file deep slot.
