Alhoewel aangekondigd als Duitse makelij van Europees hout is deze cello in China gemaakt. Op de verpakking staan er handgeschreven notities in het Mandarijns.
De afwerking is niet al te best, hier en daar wat ongelijkheden vooral op de randen. Er bleven ook veel witte sporen achter van het polijsten.
In de achterkant zit een diepe horizontale kras. Hopelijk wordt dit geen scheur met de jaren.
De kam is zeer goed besneden en op goede hoogte: C snaar : 5 mm, A snaar : 4 mm. Dus vlot bespeelbaar. Snaren voldoen, door duurdere en gecombineerde snaren te plaatsen zal de klank verbeteren.
De klank is diep en volumineus, met sustain. De A snaar klinkt vol, niet scherp en is bespeelbaar en goed klinkend tot boven op de toets.
Conclusie: goede studentencello
