GTC6DD Worth the money
Anonymous 23.05.2023
I needed to change from Double bass drum pedal to a single due to back injury so wanted a reasonably priced quiet and quick pedal.
I read reviews about direct drive pedals then tried one or two chain and direct drive to compare and decided I would take a chance on direct drive
Very glad I did, this GTC6DD is not the flashiest pedal on the market but it is well made and certainly matches a few more expensive pedals I tried. It is easy to adjust for tension and angle with a decent size footplate and can be used easily if you play either heel up or down. Personally I like a very light beater so this one though not heavy will be swapped with one I already have. The only slightly picky comment I have to make is that the bottom screw for tension adjustment is plastic which may still last the life of the pedal as I'm sure Gibraltar have tested it thoroughly but surely the cost of a metal one is probably 1euro at retail. A drum key is provided in a plastic clip under the footplate and fastening the pedal to the bass drum hoop is easy thanks to the side protruding wing nut. Over all this is a solid pedal and performs very efficiently in my personal opinion and in all honesty I couldn't tell any difference between this and the dearer ones.

Nice!

My first directdrive pedal. It's a nice feeling pedal, feels solid.
Is it the best pedal in the world? I don't think so, but for the price, quality and overall feel you can't go wrong with it.
I do really like the smooth footboard!

Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis absolut spitze!
Tympanista 10.11.2020
