The classic humbucker PAF Gibson but with more output. Provides a well-balanced sound with assertive overtones and an outstanding crack. • Characteristics: Higher output capacity
  • Amp can easily overload
  • Strong rhythm sound and easily singing lead sounds

Perfect!

I’ve played an Epiphone Dot Studio (an ES style guitar) for about 8 years now. It was my first guitar and I genuinely believe it’s worth more than what I got it for in most regards save for one very important aspect: The pickups. In short, they were awful.
I got this for the bridge with a Seymour Duncan in the neck to make the guitar sound as good as it feels so that when I perform, the audience will hear my instrument the same way that I experience it; as a simply fantastic guitar. With the 57 Classic Plus, I think that my Dot finally sounds as good as it can be. It doesn’t perfectly emulate a Les Paul like I was going for, but perhaps even more valuably it sounds entirely unique. I play anything from pop to metal (nothing too heavy lol) and this pickup always comes through, I’d recommend it for anyone who wants to bring their guitar to its best sound as long as they’re not looking for anything extremely heavy.
This pickup is highly versatile and it sounds spectacular.

Classic Gibson tone with a bit more punch
nidzaliman 13.03.2018
I use the Gibson 57 classic plus in my 95' Gibson Les Paul Classic.
Great pickup, the classic Gibson sound with a bit more punch, I love it!

I prefer it much more to the Gibson 498T which I got in order to have a little more output than I would on a Gibson 57 Classic. I was not pleased with the Gibson 498T sound, it was "thin and trebly". I find that the Gibson 57 Classic Plus is the halfway point from a Gibson 57 Classic to modern pickups with higher output.

The only con is that my guitar is really dark sounding and the Gibson 57 Classic Plus is not helping on that field. Non the less this issue is guitar related and I am willing to accept the sacrifice.

I wholeheartedly recommend this pickup, I will definitely be using it in the future on some other guitars as well.

B
really nice high end punch
Bilbro 06.05.2017
I replaced my bridge pickup in my 1990 Les Paul Custom with this 57 Classic.

The downside in my case was that the output signal is a little weaker than the neck pickup which I corrected by adjusting the height of both pickups respective of pickup to underside of the strings and to each other.

the upside is that this pick up is really bright and sparkly (clean and crunch/overdrive) slightly less bottom end than the previous pickup. When the amp is cranked up a little this wee beastie really punches out those tones with great attack and super sustain. All you really need to get a grin on while playing..

Just let her scream...

A True Classic

Got this to replace the same PU in my Peter Frampton Signature, the origional was killed by my Grandson and a glass of Coke!
This replacement is just like the original, harmonious full and warm when gentle with it, throaty and powerful when wound up.
Stands the test of time against anything from nowadays, nothing else comes close the sound is unique iconic just as the instrument it was born to.
