Amazing for the price, but massive QC issues
jd98 12.09.2022
Pros: The specs on this thing are insane for the price you pay for it. The EMGs are very high output, but that's exactly what you want for a guitar like this, and it sounds awesome. The satin finish is smooth as silk (One or two minor paint marks here and there but they're almost unnoticeable) and the Macassar Ebony fretboard is nearly pitch black on mine and looks incredible. The fret ends are immaculate as well, with no sprout or sharp ends.

Cons: I have no idea who at Thomann QC inspected mine, but they clearly didn't care. Even though I mentioned in the pros that the fret ends are perfect, the leveling/polishing is absolutely atrocious. I've played many guitars with stainless steel frets, but none of them have ever felt like sandpaper under the string. These do on certain frets and it's making the playing experience awful. I will unfortunately have to go get these levelled and crowned, as right now they feel like garbage. Also, the guitar is advertised as having Grover locking tuners. This is not true. Mine came with generic Harley Benton locking ones. Don't get me wrong, they hold tune extremely well, but I would not advertise something that is not true.

M
Great 7 String.
Music7 19.03.2022
The features found on this guitar are usually in the $1000 - $1400(USD) price range. Thomann have done a great job in development of this product, and I have no problems to report with the guitar I received. I would recommend this model to anyone.

Great quality but weak pickups
JRabes 11.02.2023
This guitar is phenomenal, and plays amazing. It was setup great out of the box, the frets aren't sharp, the hardware is all solid quality, and it never goes out of tune. The pickups are weak and low output, and get muddy with distortion. I recommend this guitar if you're willing to change the pickups afterwards.

This thing is literally perfect.

Got it for a friend, and tried it out.

I am to this day amazed that for this price you can buy an instrument that is this well made.

It is a very good package of features, it looks nice, it sounds GREAT (if you're in the market for classical highgain stuff - this thing does wonders with its' mid-range passive EMGs).

I didn't expect to like these pickups as much as I did. Sure they're not Fishmans, but they're not trying to be - this is more of a traditional metal guitar, think Seymour Duncan's HotRod set, ToneZone, etc. Versatile, responsive, not starting a riot, but not pulling punches as well.

It came out the box set up and flawless.

It is well balanced and ergonomic enough for it to not be an issue. The neck is nice, the finish is nice.

I honestly have not a single critique of this instrument. Ok, maybe it's not the most visually aspiring guitar in its' shape or colour, but OH COME ON, it's a matter of taste. I personally don't like black guitars, and this one came more like... blue-ish. And it's amazing.

And for 400-smth euro you can't really go wrong buying an Amarok.
Unless you specifically want something that it's not.
