Well, almost...

There is a saying about good intentions... I think maybe it applies to accessory packs and other such lagniappe.

I received the C-Guitar 4/4 Accessory Pack as part of my purchase of a Thomann Classica Fusion 8-string guitar. Absolutely 5-stars on the guitar, but I felt like I should have saved my money and bought it without the accessory package.

Why?

Well, first of all, an 8-string guitar is not the same size or shape as a 6-string one, the shape being different to accommodate the extra strings and as a result, the "backpack" was really the wrong shape for an 8-string. It's also not much of a backpack, offering zero protection aside from maybe a spilled drink. Really no impact protection at all. So you probably need to order one with significant padding or get a hardshell case for the guitar.

Somewhat the same story with the capo — it's too small for width of an 8-string, meaning it is completely useless. It does fit the neck of my Squier, tho' I don't generally use a capo on my electric guitars.

And last but not least, the tuner. It's extremely fidgety to get the battery in to it and get the back closed on it. Once you manage to achieve that, it's okay... but just "okay". I have a free tuner app on my phone, so I probably could have skipped this, too.

All in all? They really shouldn't offer this package as an accessory for the 8-string guitar. The "backpack" isn't really shaped for the guitar, the capo is too small, and that leaves a rather over-priced, though serviceable, tuner.

Save your money to spend on something else you need more from Thomann — in my case, like an extra set of 8-string guitar strings! Or a stand! Now THAT would have been a great accessory package. Nice try, guys, but keep working on the concept!
