Unbelievable for the money
GarethOB, 05.02.2020
Caveat: This review is based on the fact that I paid €399 for the guitar. Any of the statements made here are framed through the lens of this being a sub €400 guitar

Right, with that out of the way, PEOPLE! This guitar is ridiculous for the money! Fit and finish is *WAY* above where I would expect it to be. The frets are PERFECTLY level all the way up the neck. Even at the top of the neck!! The edges are pretty well finished too. Again, you won't confuse this with an Anderson, but it puts brands like Ibanez and even EBMM to shame. Great job Thomann/Harley Benton!

The neck plays very well. It's a nice, comfortable C shape. Upper fret access is *REALLY* good. The body feels good against you and the finish really is massively above where I would expect.

Where the guitar's price point shows is in the electronics. The taper on the pots is not great, and the jack doesn't feel like it'll last that long. That said, €40 and 20 minutes of soldering will fix that! I'm not a fan of the pickups, but that's a personal thing; there's nothing wrong with them.

Another tiny thing I don't like, but won't affect the VAST majority of players, is that I like my action low. Really low. 2/64ths on the bass side low. The saddle adjustment screws bottom out at 3/64ths on the trebble side. It's an easy fix with my dremel, but worth mentioning

In summary, this guitar is incredible value, and feels on a par with Ibanez Iron Label/Axion series, with better fret work. Harley Benton/Thomann have really hit a home run with this guitar and their fusion series. Savings are made where it makes sense, and attention is paid in the places that will maximise the quality of the instrument. Great job!

Wow, just wow!
SmilesNGrins, 10.02.2020
I was first drawn to this guitar by a friend who told me that Harley Benton was making headless guitars. I've been after a Kiesel/Carvin for a while now (7 years) and I had previously owned a Steinberger GT-PRO (which I didn't get along with because of the cheap parts, this is just me). Once I saw the specs on the site, my jaw dropped and thought I might as well just bite the bullet since it is fairly cheap in guitar terms.

Shortly after my purchase, I see a few reviews on YouTube, WOW the sound was great from the videos I saw (though one was of the prototype of this model). Four days passed, it arrived in immaculate condition. A quick check of the set-up - faultless. As an owner of multiple guitars, this has got to be one of the most comfortable necks I've ever played (right out of the box too!) The frets are just superb and the fact that they are stainless-steel adds to my amazement at this instrument. The only downside is the pickups (and this is purely personal preference) - though they are good, I feel to get the tone I want they're going to have to be swapped out (which is pretty close with the stock pickups). Other than that everything is superb and with such a low price-tag this is the bargain you've been waiting for. I feel I could record and play live with this guitar with no problems.

I'm still in the process of collecting my brain matter off the walls.

Remember how much this costs....

Honestly pretty shocked at how decent this is.
the neck and fret work are good and beyond that of a guitar of this price range. That's where the money is in this guitar, and that's a great thing.
