Great features, but mine needs a definite setup
TSUNAMI GUITARS 28.06.2022
I bought the Modern because I wanted not only the humbuckers, but the coil tap, beautiful stainless steel frets, and who turns down locking tuners?

Unfortunately, mine came through with high action, and I cannot lower the saddles enough to compensate for the neck angle. I build and repair guitars, and although this will be one fine instrument, I will have to remove the neck, install a shim so that the neck angle break is larger, so I can raise my saddles a bit to get great action, not try and bottom them out as it stands now. Otherwise, fit and finish is great, and the sounds are heavenly for that 60's surf rock, and a lot of the blues. Thanks, Thomann!

Amazing

It is super versatile sounding, premium and great playing, and a stunning-looking instrument. Locking tuners and Wilkison bridge stays in tune well. The satin neck, ebony fretboard neck and steel frets feel great to play. The humbucker pickups do it all. With classic vintage looks and low price- this is an absolute winner. A bit on the heavier side due to its alder body but that is a preference.

Pleasant suprise
Anonymous 03.02.2023
Bought it without thinking right after it came out so no reviews were available. I was prepared for some eventual issues. But when it finally came to me i was really happy with what i got. It looks great and its absolutely mint cosmetic wise, no blemishes at all. Big chunk of wood so its on the heavier side and has a bit of a neck dive. Specs are killer for this price: steel frets, graph tech nut, locking tuners, wilkinson bridge. Playability is good. Intonates well, no problems with setting proper string action without string buzzing. Fret ends were a bit sharp, especially down the neck, not unplayable, but not too pleasant either. Locking tuners work great. Nut slots might be a tiny bit too high on 2 or 3 strings. Sounds great to my ear, deep and rich. Overall i can recomment this guitar. Sharp fret ends or not perfectly cut nut slots are very common minor issues and are easy to fix.

Très bon produit
ViniVini 25.05.2023
