Pros and cons, sure, but you cannot beat this value

The looks were great, finish quality was more than acceptable and only has nitpicky cosmetic flaws that really shouldn't factor in at this price point. It definitely stands out and looks great amongst my other guitars.

The sound is okay, I prefer hotter pickups so I will be changing those out but in the meantime, I'm still chugging and riffing away because this is a pretty sweet guitar nonetheless. They're definitely more of a vintage voicing, so if that's your thing they might work for you. The gold stamping looks great on the bridge pickup, but there's what looks like deeply grooved sanding marks that were stamped over on the neck pickup...which of course is the most visible pickup. That's a little annoying. But only cosmetic, it works just fine and sounds pretty decent too.

Playability is outstanding though. After the initial break-in period where I ditched the strings it came with and strangely got really blackened fingertips (assuming from the "blackwood" fretboard) for a few days, this thing fits like a glove. No problem finding comfortable sweet spots and the neck shape is quite comfy. The cutaway joint is my favorite that I've ever played on a single-cut LP-style guitar before, super accessible upper frets with no interference from the set neck joint at all.

Tuners stay in tune reasonably well, no problems thus far. Same with the other electronics, no functionality issues whatsoever. The nut is plastic though, so hopefully that holds up okay.

All told between the guitar, shipping to the U.S. from Frankfurt, and duty fees (import), this was the best $241 I have ever spent on a guitar, bar none. Would definitely recommend!!

J
Amazing Guitar for Price
JackB0601 09.08.2022
I was very pleasantly surprised by the quality once more of these Harley Benton Guitars, this is now my 2nd (awaiting my 3rd) Harley Benton and I continue to be amazed, overall a very nice to play and listen to guitar, it did arrive with a dent, however didn't decide to follow up as I didn't want the hassle, but an amazing guitar for the price, would highly recommend, the only con to this style of guitar is the weight!

High quality for low price
Neurokrem 28.11.2020
I have this guitar since January 2020 (it's late November 2020 as of this writing) and I am satisfied with this instrument.

I wanted to try out a LP style guitar to get a hang of the shape, scale lenght, basically the whole LP configuration, before I buy something more "professional" or idk how to call it.

One thing that is associated with LP style guitars is the weight and to my surprise (yes it is made from linden) I did not expect it to be this lightweight. Good for long gigs, as your back won't fall off, or beginner players.

As for the sound, it's massive, good for rock and blues (and even heavier styles). Pickups are good, there is no issues with grounding etc. Whatever you play can cut good in the mix.

Currently it's my "weapon of choice" for recording guitar. Not replacing my other guitars for good, but just alone for demoing songs before a more 'professional' recording it does great. Pleasantly surprised with the build quality as well. Some minor finishing flaws are present, nothing too bad.

Overall very pleased with the instrument, 9/10 would reccomend.

Good for it money
AntoMuravo 15.02.2020
(sorry for English)
I buy this guitar to play some heavy things like stoner, doom, etc but it is good not only for this. Clean sound not bright, it is warm (because it is Les Paul). But for me Les Paul is not very comfortable. Neck is good (except frets) like Epiphone LP.

Pros:
- It is Les Paul!
- Humbuckers don't make noise*
- Looks very cool**
- IMHO it weight not very much
- Tunes very well from store

Cons:
- It is Les Paul!
- *but have microphone effect
- **but have some small bad moments on painting
- Fretwork could be better

In general: it is white LP for less than 140 EUR. Not best, not worst. It ok. Can I recommend it? Yes.

C
Great Budget Guitar
Capt_Killjoy 22.02.2020
I ordered the HB as a backup for my live shows and I wasn't disappointed. The quality and sound shone through straightaway and it quickly became my main instrument of the night.

Pros: Great solid guitar, it feels great quality. The pickups are fantastic and cut through every time.

Cons: Machine heads required tightening on arrival and some areas of detail when applying the lacquer and graphics to the body.

I would recommend this guitar to anybody looking for a cheap budget guitar that won't break the bank.

This is a damn fine guitar. Better than it should be for the price. The pickups could be a little better but I'm not complaining.

Great buy

Great looking guitar.
Put it in the sun to age and change the Knops and you have a cheap
Randy Rhoads Les Paul copy.
The bridge bolts could mounted deeper into the body.
Other than that it could not find anything wrong with it.
Great buy

Amazin cheap guitar
Niklas on AdS 10.09.2019
For its money:

Sound very good, has all standard features , but needs a little better work at the frets. All other things are amazing for this price point.

This guitar is a beauty, and amazing for a beginner who wants something that looks different than a black strat... It has personality.

A
very nice guitar
Anonymous 29.10.2016
This guitar is the 6th Harley Benton I have bought I think I may have GAS but at these prices you can't go wrong even though the pound has dropped in value. OK let's get down to the nitty gritty the guitar arrived with a playable setup but needed adjustment for my needs I intend to change their pickups at a latter date to tonerider PAF alnico 2 classics
take a look at theYou Tube review on hb sc500 with toner ider pickups it will blow you away. Then fit and finish on this white classic is high and I am happy with it except the small issue of the first plastic insert on the neck not being glued in
the right way up, all these other inserts are pearl effect
but the first is just white plastic a bit of a letdown from QC.
There question do I send it back or do I live with it?
