Well made u-Bass with good strings and pickup

Irrespective of the relatively low price, this is an excellent u-Bass. It plays well out of the box and even comes with a battery fitted. The strings are also very playable although each player will develop a liking for a particular brand and type of string over time. Build quality is as good as it gets. The wood used is well finished and the fit of joints is also very good. The hardware is good quality and the initial setup of bridge height was about right as delivered. This is a very playable U-Bass and I am really glad that I have it.

Dieser kleine Fretless sieht zwar im ersten Moment wie ein Spielzeug aus und man hat auch das Gefühl beim Anfassen, wenn man noch nie etwas mit "Gummi-Saiten" zu tun hatte.... am Amp zeigt er aber dann einen mächtigen Antritt in Sachen Sound und es kommt Suchtpotential auf :-)
Die Verarbeitung ist ebenso auf hohem Niveau und kann Punkten... 1 Punkt Abzug gibt es für die nicht so dollen Tuner, deren Verarbeitung und Konstruktion zweifelhaft sind, hier läuft Alu auf Alu ungeschmiert, das ist sicher die schlechste Reibpaarung die man sich denken kann und so hören sich die Dinger auch an.
Auch der Steg-Piezo Pickup verursacht sehr stark unterschiedliche Ausgangspegel .... also ein wenig Nacharbeit wie zu erwarten in dieser Preisklasse, aber alles in Allem ein tolles kleines Ding und da es von Pyramid auch Metallsaiten gibt wurde daraus RuckZuck ein echter E-Bass der sich auch wie ein solcher spielt... nur mit kürzeren Wegen auf dem Griffbrett :-) Der Sound mit den Pyramid hat das Klangbild nahe eines Kontrabass mehr hin zu einem Fretless E-Bass verschoben, ohne "Druckverlust" :-) ... damit klebt man jetzt nicht mehr am Gummi und die Saitten rollen nicht mehr unter den Fingern durch... auch der Slap-Sound hat damit eindrucksvoll gewonnen.
Ich kann das kleine Wunder auf jeden Fall empfehlen und werde ihn nicht mehr hergeben :-)
