Harley Benton Victory Plus BK Vintage Series

I bought this guitar because I hoped that a V shaped body would be comfortable for my guitar playing posture, sitting down with the neck raised very high. This worked remarkably well.

The guitar I received sounds really great, the body resonates with the strings, and I love the sound.

The frets did not arrive in really good condition. For me this was ok, as I would generally expect to clean up the frets on any new guitar that I buy. But if you don't want to do that kind of work the guitar that I received didn't play very well straight out of the box. But after a small amount of work it was great.

Harley Benton have done it again! This is my 4th Harley Benton and I've been blown away once again. I purchased this guitar for use in live playing with a band and for my YouTube cover channel. I also had never actually played a flying V before and was always very interested in playing one. At a price like this, what did I have to lose? :)

When the guitar arrived, I was once again baffled by the quality of the guitar based on the price! Everything from the workmanship to the action on the strings was absolutely perfect. All hardware is of exceptional quality and electronics are also perfect! After give the guitar a physical once over and being overly satisfied with the quality, it was time to plug this bad boy in.

Upon plugging the guitar straight into my amp, I was instantly blown away by the quality of the sound. The output is very nice and clarity is amazing. The Wilkinson pickups are fairly bright but have a lot of power behind them also. The guitar is actually an amazing "All Rounder" and extremely diverse whether you are playing ballads/punk/metal! Everything sounds great through those vintage style pickups.

Physically the guitar plays like butter and is incredibly sturdy and well built. It holds very comfortably and rivals my more expensive guitars all round! I also love the no frills knobs - 2 volume and 1 tone. Suits my needs perfectly! Definitely an instant favorite! If you are considering purchasing this guitar, consider no more, just go for it. You won't regret it!

I have a review channel and review many guitars, I must say that in this price range I was not expecting much. To my disbelief upon unboxing this V I could not find one single blemish... Not one... But how good could it sound? The answer is that it simply amazes. And I don't mean for the money, I mean at any price its amazing.
The Action is perfect, the strings are right, the sound is superior to most guitars in this style including ones into the thousands of dollars. I have never seen a guitar come so well set up out of the box, and I buy 2-3 guitars a month to review. It your wondering about frets. Don't. The frets on mine were perfect. Not even a questionable one. Well done Harley Benton. Bravo!
I am still shocked at the quality as I write this.

I've always wanted a V-type guitar, and found this. I liked the look, and the price was outstanding! Upon arrival, I picked up the box and thought, "Is there a guitar in this? It's too light." I am still in shock at how light this guitar is. I have some LP types that are mahogany and they are heavy. This feels like basswood light.

The fret ends are somewhat sharp, which is normal to me, but I'll let it acclimate a bit more to where I am before taking care of that. No high frets found, so far, and the guitar was set-up perfectly from Thomann. As another reviewer said, the fretboard inlays and side markers are way off-center, about an eighth inch toward the nut, but it doesn't affect the playability.

All electronics work as they should, and the Roswell pickups sound good to me. No microphonics from either and no squealing with gain, which is important to me.

The gold hardware is decent. The tuners work well. The only nitpick that I have about this guitar is that the control cavity cover and the string-through ferrules are not recessed into the body. Other than that and the inlays, I have nothing bad to say about this guitar. I'm very happy with this purchase.

I got my guitar and i am very satisfied with boxing, thanks to thomann.

- Guitar is well balanced, not so light not so heavy. Neck has no dive, it makes me happy.
- Hardware is junk. Thats normal when you think about the price. I changed the bridge pickup with jackson j-90c at the last night, it ROARRRs now. I'll change all the hardware with gotoh etc.
- Neck has slightly thick, i have jackson kvmg and dean dm vmnt but this thicker that all of it. I guess its a flying V tradition.
- Electronics are noisy but you can change it and i will.
- Guitar came with intonation, i just adjust the action and ready to play.
- New headstock design is so cool, i loved it.
- New body shape (exactly like regular flying Vs) is so cool too.

I love my harley benton, it will be a monster when i change all hardwares and pickups.

There is some tiny finish problems and there is a deep 3 inch long sctrach on the back but thats okey. Such things happen.

I can recommend to everyone buying this budget axe from thomann.
