Perfect For A Variety Of Uses
With the release of outstanding and flexible modelling amps like the Fractal Audio AxeFX and Line6 Helix, the need for super-loud valve amplifiers is rapidly diminishing. However, if you don't want to record directly, use desktop monitors/headphones or run straight to a PA for live use, you still need a power amp and cabinet(s).
Well, you used to need a power amp and cabinet. This Headrush FRFR Monitor changes that.
Whether you want to keep the volume to neighbour-friendly levels, crank it to use with bandmates or use it as a monitor on the stage, this does it all. I haven't used it at live performance levels yet, but I have no doubt it would cope.
I've accidentally kicked the speaker grille a few times and there's not a mark on it (more than can be said for my old Marshall cab, years ago). I'm definitely going to add a second one to enjoy stereo effects.
A pair of Marshall 2x12 cabs would be over 50kg and cost over €1000. Plus, you'd need a power amp. A stereo pair of these is 32kg and under €600. If you use a modelling amp or multiFX, get one of these.
... or two!

Very good as expected
Used for Guitar > Helix > Headrush FRFR-112
Get the same sound in live situations. No more surprises on stage.
PROS
- Sounds great with the band. Tested with the line6 Helix LT and the Plini: Archetype plugin from Neural DSP (through Reaper and a digital mixer).
-Two inputs (both XLR&1/4) where you can plug two different instruments for monitoring. Not ideal for live gigs but useful in limited situations. There are an output to connect to another unit in mono or stereo, the more the merrier.
-This unit packs 2000W. It is definitely loud at volume 4. The Knob even goes to 11. It's impossible to not hear yourself live.
-Has a stand mount built in.
CONS
-The only issue I can found is the build quality. It is not fragile, but is not that solid either. Might want to be careful when transporting the unit.
Overall, a really good price/quality purchase. Might get a second unit.

Great for digital boards
May have a little too much low end for home or practice space, but is great in live situations.
May be used as floor monitor or PA speaker on smaller gigs.
Easily can run two digital modelers on rehearsal.
Great for bass players with digital boards.

Sounds clean as promising, has good features
An absolute bang for the buck if you need a good quality FRFR or any active speaker. Sounds great with a modeler, as it's meant to be, but can of course be used as a live monitor if needed.
The 12 cone is preferrable, in my opinion, if you want your modeler to respond similarly to the tube amps you're used to.
I also love the fact that there's more than one input, allowing this monitor to actually cover a lot of situations. Only thing I would add is a more comprehensive EQ section in the back, as there's just a switch for "Contour" but I'd love to be able to better control low and high frequencies.

A lot of Power
This is amazing. The sound quality is amazing, and the headroom is perfect . I can use this as a straight ahead monitor for my PA ,or a speaker for my effects unit. Versatile ,and the build quality is top notch .It feels like a solid unit that could take everything that a live set up could throw at it.

Great sound, perfect for my needs.
First time I use a FRFR speaker, and sounds better than I expected, for both guitar and bass guitar.

A tank!
I love that amp! Huge sound and amazing quality for the price.
I have mine for more than 3 years already, used in home-studio, gigs and rehearsals and it's great in loud and quiet usage. Totally recommend!

Very good Product
I used it with a headrush pedal board, and now with a Fractal FM3, on top for some mixing out of Logic pro.
Pros:
Sounds is clear and full
Features with XLR/jack, contour etc. really helps
Unit is a tank, no chance to damage it
Weight is reasonable
Cons:
As stated in many forum, it has a tendency to strengthen the bass frequency, which is not to everyone's taste
I am really happy with my unit, overall a very good product. Thanks Thomann.

Great
Using this with Helix LT in my studio, sounds great, also using pair of them in rehearsal room as FOH, for guitar, vocals, samples and bass. They do the job just great.
