The price is lower than its quality.

So I used it only at home and at the studio and my opinion is:
Pros: The shape is quite ergonomic and looks cool. Weigh is low enough to hold it and make some tricks. Sound is more than good for this price. Hums work and sound. The giutar is easy to tune and customise because of simple electrocnic system.
Cons: Electronics require shielding, because it's too much noise on high gain. Stock strings are bad and to be changed.

The guitar is very good at this price rate, but as for any cheap guitar, you should swap standart strings for good ones, treat the wood carefuly and check the electronics. All of these points won't cost you a fortune. It is hard to blame the guitar for its disadvanteges because of low price. The price of guitar is lower than its quality. Very nice option if you have less than 250 euros.

Ibanez GRG7221QA-TKS My 2nd 7 string guitar
AceMan65 08.08.2022
I had originally bought a Harley Benton SC7 fanfret, which was fantastic.. I took a step up to a larger name brand. I tried the Ibanez GRG7221QA-TKS. This thing is a beast. It's super easy to play, even though it has a much thicker neck than a 6th string. I think the tone of the stock pickups are pretty amazing. A lot of people are saying in their reviews that they will replace those pickups. They kind of have a split tone to them. Not so much when I'm playing clean tones, but when I put some overdrive, or some heavy distortion you don't just hear one note. You almost can hear 2 notes. Kind of like an octavia. I noticed that also with the Harley Benton. So there's something about the 7 string guitar pickups that they give a split tone which I think is pretty damn awesome. Oh and I was able to bring both guitars down to a .009 gauge string. They still sound incredible. The stability of the tuning is really not that bad. Considering I had lowered the string gauge. It's about the same as when they had the .010 gauge strings. The fretboard is very comfortable all around. Paint job is pretty good. I thought it was going to look more dramatic. Deeper woodtones coming through the paint job. As for the weight distribution. It's incredibly light for the size. This is definitely an awesome starter to intermediate player guitar. The next 7 string I'll be getting will be a much more expensive one for sure.. But this one is highly recommended.

Buy this guitar

Alright, first of all. This guitar is a beauty. The color is just amazing if you compare it to it's price.

Tuners - Standard Ibanez tuners, maybe not of the highest quality but hold the tuning (don't expect too much though).

Neck - The neck is really thin and Very easy to get used to, especially if this is your first 7 string guitar (like me).

Fretboard - The fretboard was a bit dry, which was not an issue since just a touch of lemon oil made it look like a new. No sharp edges whatsoever.

Bridge - The bridge is very comfortable and doesn't bother me at all while i play. The string height was on default, so i had to lower them a bit. Even though i had never done something like that, i watched a video on youtube where a guy does it with a credit card and it worked just fine since this bridge is easy to adjust. The intonation was spot on, out of the box.

Pickups & Knobs - Not the best pickups but they play pretty well. The neck one felt a bit weak, maybe due to it's height (Kinda low) . I am considering of swapping them with a Fishman fluence set. The knobs are smooth and pretty just like the guitar :).

Body - Light and comfortable no matter how you hold your guitar.

I bought this guitar only to test 7 string guitars, and i got one thing to say. Buy this one even if it's your first guitar. Extremely good quality for it's price. I wish this one was available when i started playing guitar. There is no way you will regret spending your money on this guitar unless your are looking for a professional instrument.

Good, if you want to try 7 string. Bad, if you think it's medium quallity
KirillS 14.12.2021
My choice for my first 7 string guitar was in between Jackson, Harley Benton and Ibanez.
I already have one, 6 string indonesian Ibanez. I bought it about 10 years ago. And it's fine.

But this chinese guitar has knots in the neck!!! Like a shovel handle!!! Really? It's not noname. It's not from online chinese store.

Long story short, it's good looking from the front, with agressive sound (not much quality, but for this price is fine), and worst quality I've ever expected.
