Awesome Bass for a bargain

I fell in love with the finish and had to get it, and I'm very happy I did. This is a feature-packed bass that plays well straight out of the box. What I love the most about this bass (apart from the gorgeous finish) is how much tone control the fadeable pickups and the onboard EQ give you. As someone who likes to play many styles, this bass is perfect for me. Highly recommended!

Sounds are perfect quality. Really versatile. Using it in my studio and for live everytime. Also it does look good and different from any over bass. The only thing is that it's not isolated perfectly. If I play it directly infront on my PC it would have a hum. So I just turn away and it's totally fine

Grandioses Preis-Leistungs-Verhältnis

Mir ist der Bass zunächst wegen der Farbe aufgefallen. Diese ist ja durchaus ungewöhnlich, und hat auch bei mir Zweifel hervorgerufen, da der Bass dadurch entweder sehr geil oder sehr billig aussehen kann. Obwohl die Farbe in der Realität deutlich bläulicher ausfällt, sieht das Instrument direkt äußerst hochwertig aus. Wer also Lust auf eine extravagante aber schicke Farbe an seinem neuen Bass hat, ist hier auf jeden Fall richtig aufgehoben.
Nun aber zum wichtigen Teil:
In der gewohnten Anordnung für die Ibanez Soundgear Bässe hat man es hier mit zwei passiven Humbuckern und einem aktiven Drei-Band Equalizer zu tun. Das scheint normal für einen durchschnittlichen Aktivbass, ist aber in Verbindung mit dem Coil-Tap, mit welchem man auch sehr authentische Jazz-Bass Sounds erreichen kann ein wahres Monster an klanglicher Vielfalt, was in diesem Preissegment ein absolutes Alleinstellungsmerkmal ist. Und das ist natürlich auch (und war es immer) der Hauptgrund, sich einen der Soundgear Bässe von Ibanez zu kaufen. Man bekommt einen perfekten Kompromiss aus klanglicher Vielfalt, guter Qualität und schickem Äußerem. Natürlich merkt man hir und da, dass der Bass eben keine 1000€, sondern knapp mehr als ein Drittel kostet. Zum Beispiel waren bei meinem Exemplar die Potis des Eq‘s etwas schief, aber das kann ja auch ein Einzelfall sein und seien wir ehrlich, das ist jammern auf hohem Niveau.

Insgesamt hat man mit diesem Bass, und allen weiteren der Soundgear Serie also perfekte Allrounder, welche perfekt für beinahe jedes Genre, den Anfänger und fortgeschrittenen ist. Auch für Gitarristen (wie mich) ist es eine gute Wahl, da der Hals in alter Ibanez Manier sehr schlank ist und man sich daher auch an das fünfsaitige Modell der heranwagen kann. Ich würde jederzeit wieder zuschlagen ;)
