Gestern habe ich das Gerät erhalten, ausgepackt und war erst einmal sehr angetan von der Erscheinung und auch von der Verarbeitung. Gut, die Tasten sind ein bisschen wackelig, aber ich bin kein Profi und für meine Ansprüche ist es ausreichend.
Heute hab ich nun angefangen, mit dem Nano Air und Cubase 11 (Pro) zu experimentieren - und bin nicht wirklich zufrieden. Zunächst einmal stellte der Nano Air die Verbindung zum Bluetooth nur ungefähr jedes zweite Mal her. Einmal hat er sich auch ganz aufgehängt. Grundsätzlich funktioniert er aber schon - auch recht präzise - wenn man denn weiß, was er machen sollte. Hintergrund ist der, dass es jede Menge unterschiedliche Assignments und Layer für die Knöpfe gibt, die mitunter völlig undurchsichtig ist. Im Pan Assignment, das ich hauptsächlich nutze, ist alles noch klar: Fader, Panning, Transport - alles prima. Dann gibt es aber Assignments "Page Up" und "Page Down" oder "Dyn/FX/Aux", wo man raten muss, was passiert, wenn man z.B. einen Encoder dreht. Das Mini Display zeigt dabei völligen Unsinn an, von halbwegs erkennbaren Abkürzungen über Spiegelverkehrte Channel Namen bis zu völlig Unidentifizierbarem. Vielleicht liegt es an meinem fehlenden Sachverstand - ich wurde bisher nicht schlau daraus.
Das Übelste ist aber das Handbuch - mit das Unprofessionellste und Kryptischste, was ich bisher in den Fingern hatte - und zudem noch eine Rohfassung für alle möglichen Geräte: "Revision v0.71
This is a master manual. Specific device manuals can be built from this material". Unbrauchbar! Ich werde das Gerät trotzdem behalten und mich auf das Pan Assignment beschränken...
