Great compact "booster" that fits all trumpet mouthpieces!

Excellent when you want a booster on a trumpet mouthpiece but there is none that fits on the end. This adds the mass on the stem giving you some more power by minimizing the loss of power from vibrations in the mouthpiece-stem and It is easy to store and easy to remove when you dont want It there. The added weight is imprinted on the piece.

Der JK Sleeve wird auf den Schaft des Mundstückes aufgesetzt und soll durch das zusätzliche Gewicht Ansprache, Klang und Slotting verändern.

1) Passt?
Der Sleeve passt auf alle meine Standart-Trompetenmundstücke, nicht aber auf Ultra/Heavy/etc; die sind auch schon schwer genug ;-)
Bei den meisten Instrumenten klappt es, aber wenn eure Trompete das Mundstück sehr weit hinein nimmt (z.B. Yamaha Dreventil), steht man mit dem Sleeve an der Mundstückaufnahme an, bevor es dicht abschließt.

2) Klang und Ansprache:
Von Trompete zu Trompete verschieden. Der Effekt ist subtiler als z.B. beim Denis Wick DW 6181 Booster. Manchmal merkt man keinen Unterschied. Bei einer meiner Trompeten werden die Höhen merklich entschärft und die Klangbalance zwischen den Registern wird verbessert; der Ton wird 'klassischer'. Bei einer weiteren wird der Klang matter und die Bindungen steifer, dafür wird das Einrasten stabiler.
3) Fazit: Ein nützliches Mittel zum Feintuning des Instrumentes. Ausprobieren, aber keine Wunder erwarten. Nicht auf jedem Instrument von Vorteil. (Stand: März 2019)

P.S.: (Dez. 2019): Beim Versuch, das richtige Mundstück für eine Benge-inspirierte leichte Trompete zu finden (Adams A5), stieß ich auf ein altes 3C. Ohne den JK Sleeve war der Sound grenzwertig scharf/ausfransend und die Töne d2 und e2 waren zu tief und klangen matt, wenn man sie zu stark anhub (was ja nichts ungewöhnliches ist). Mit dem Sleeve hat der Klang mehr Kern, franst im ff weniger aus und d2/e2 haben mehr Glanz, überhaupt sind nun die Register besser ausgewogen. Wie gesagt, es bringt nicht bei jeder Kombination Vorteile, aber experimentieren zahlt sich aus!!!
