JB
My first serious piano
John B Ireland 15.11.2020
I’m possibly not the best reviewer here - as I only took up piano 1 year ago. Self taught via apps and YouTube. I started with a midi keyboard and relatively quickly invested in a
€300 Yamaha keyboard

So this upgrade to Kawai is a big jump for me. And some would say wasted on my limited ability. But. It is beautiful. The richness of sound brings me to tears. The feeling of the keys is completely different to my previous keyboard.

The keyboard layout is super easy to navigate. And I only discovered yesterday there is a neat app to accompany the device opening up even easier navigation of all the features.

The location of headphone jacks is convenient. The 40 watt speakers really deliver. The keys really respond to softness or strength of pressure.

I had researched a lot of pianos before going with this one. I’m delighted I took a risk and went with a brand new model.

BS
Great keys and sound. Decent speaker.
Ben Settapong 28.01.2024
The keys are great. Only minor complaint about the keys is key noise which is worse than Yamaha P-225 or P-515 and Roland FP-90X. But Kawai’s, in my opinion, are the best for practice. They are not “too easy” to play like many cheaper pianos that help you improve your muscle and your control but still the most responsive key in this price range.

Piano sounds are great. The main SK-EK piano sound is rich and warm, very good for solo playing. SK-5 is great for jazz and small band.

The features, by the way, are nothing special but just enough, which make sense for real life usage. Other sounds are good to have, usable, not great, but ti is not very important for this type of piano.

The speakers are decent but have some distortion in bass when open loudly. They are good enough for practicing at home but I wish they are more accurate.

Wonderful piano
LegoBro 20.02.2024
Nothing to tell much, it is beautiful piano that is perfectly fits to new and semi-professional/profi musicians. Shame that it cant work with batterias as Casio can, but basically it is only 1 minor issue that can be faces with this instrument.

Kawai ES-920 kein Fehlkauf
Tritonussubstitution 11.05.2021
