Nice guitar but some finish quality problems
Johnny Tinseltown 20.12.2022
I was so looking forward to this guitar. I had my eye on the H7CS for six months and then they went out of stock and then finally the guitar arrived. Early christmas....except that it wasn't! The p90's are not quite as bright (at least the neck pickup) as a I was expecting but a couple of plays let me grow more affectionate and in the end quite pleased with the tones I was getting. What really surprised me was the quality of the finish. The fretboard felt grainy which was odd but a little playing in and that was fine but the killer for me was the binding on either side of the neck around the headstock bend does not sit flush with the rest of the neck so there is an annoying catch at the end of the neck on the lower frets. And oddly both top and bottom. This does not reflect on Thomann who always provide the best service and have done for the last 13 or so years, but given that all the online reviews praised the neck above all else it was this lack of finish that really surprised me. I'm interested to hear your experiences. To be sure I wasn't fooling myslef I checked all my other guitars and none of them had a similar annoying problem.

Absolute Kaufempfehlung.
