Amazing achievement

I had tried the original Legere Signatures before, and I was ok with them, but still didn't make me leave cane. Now the American Cut, wow, what an incredible improvement. Easy to play, great response. I think they got 95% of the cane but with none of the maintenance or handling. They actually made me stop using cane. I still think cane sound is slightly more malleable and flexible, but that 5% isn't worth the hassle of cane reeds IMHO.
Fantastic product.

Very good but select the strength carefully.

Perfect for teaching and practicing and even concert band.Very convenient.Response and quality very good. I found the sound better on the 2.5 version so perhaps it is down to careful selection.....I did notice that they have a brighter sound than cane at the upper end which can cause the sound to be harsh when used with a bright mouthpiece.Used with a warm mouthpiece and they are fine.Overall, very good, but for small group jazz, where sound is important,I will stay with cane reeds.
