Spiele ein gebogenes Yanagisawa 991 mit Guardala Studio (HM) im Pop Bereich und schätze einen modernen, offenen Klang. Bisher war ich mit dem Forestone Hinoki MS, S, oder dem Legere Signature 2 zufrieden, wechselte aber häufig. Das American Cut ist dem Signature für meine Ohren, mehr noch aber für mein Gefühl deutlich überlegen. Vor allem die Ansprache ist direkter, der Klang noch eine Spur natürlicher (obwohl auch das Signature keineswegs unnatürlich klingt), und die Flexibilität größer. Für mich ist das Hin- und Her beendet; ich bleibe beim American Cut.
