Fantastic!

I’ve had CS 51 Nocaster pickups in my partcaster tele for a while now. They are fine pickups but I personally needed a bit more punch. So I tested the SD Broadcasters which were lovely sounding but still they lacked a bit more punch.

After more research I decided to try Lollar Special T pickups. I have been playing them for a few days now and find they sound full with lots of low end and mids which sounds balanced. There is punch and also enough sustain under the fingers. Dynamics are also there when I turn down the volume on the guitar a bit.

Sounds best with my Pantheon OD. Clean it sounds nice but overdriven is where it shines for me.

There is no shrillness with these pickups. Both pickups are usable and the middle position is very pleasant. Harmonic overtones are rich. I’m yet to test it with fuzz. It sounds great with my delays and modulation. I play it into a wet-dry set up; Egnater Tweaker 15 and Vox AC15.
