Fascinatingly terrible headphones compared to their ratings here
M. Helminen 05.02.2021
I bought these because the ratings implied a solid quality sound, and I have been extremely satisfied with the Mackie mixer I bought years ago and used these headphones with. Unfortunately I don't think I could have picked headphones with worse sound than this. I've tried the MC-250 with two different mixers and a lot of different music ranging from classical to electronic to noise music and my own compositions, and the common thread is that through these, anything sounds cheap and powerless. It's not that the MC-250 lacks bass or treble. It's more like it lacks everything, and the end result is a plastic, lifeless sound with all joy and power sucked out of it. Even when cranked up to ear piercing volume levels, the sound is brittle and without any punch whatsoever. Buyer beware.
In addition it took only a year for the right side headphone to die on me, so build quality may not be the best.
My greatest regret is that I only got to test these properly well after the two weeks return period. Otherwise I would have most certainly returned them. They aren't very expensive, but every euro put into them is wasted for sure.

L
Decent monitor phones for the price
LowTek 10.03.2022
I got these pretty much knowing they were entry level (that's me!) but wanted to limit my budget for now. I'm satisfied with the overall frequency response and balance of tone across my range of hearing, and they are only used as DAW monitors and for online meetings. I'd prefer a more defined top end response. If I'm just listening to music I prefer sound performances of any genre through decent speakers.

Headphones not flimsy; a closed back, a little hot and heavy; there's enough room for ear comfort--just about. The connection lead comes from the right hand side, and unplugs with a bayonet action. There's quite a lot of side extension for adjustment of how it sits, and I'm guessing it would fit if you're wearing a flat cap or beanie. On my head it feels that most weight sits in the centre of my scalp i.e. not evenly distributed for best comfort, but it stays put. It mayn't be the best headphone for one-ear use due to its bulky ear pads. There's no pad covers but pads and foam inserts are stretched over a groove, so I assume could be replaced (not sure).

As with all audio items you can spend a lot more for diminishing gains in quality - i.e. exponentially diminishing improvements imho. For closed-back work these are fine for the amount of time I'll need to wear them, and that would not stretch beyond 3 hours max. So they're good for the price I think.

Shame materials
DanielDiez 26.06.2023
I bought these headphones in 2019 for 110€. And the truth is that I have hardly used them over the years. I keep them next to my workstation. Never in closed places or where the sun shines on them. A few months ago I started to notice that the ear cushion was starting to disintegrate. At the moment the left ear cushion has detached from the headset and the fake leather cover has come apart. It is a disgrace that such a bad product is sold as a professional product.

In this price range, I think this earphone is a very good choice. I used it for recording, and the effect felt pretty good, very good
