i
loudness!
ikouno 12.04.2021
I got two of these to use as stage monitors to suppress the loud acoustic drums. I feed guitar, bass, keyboard, vocals and backing tracks to these speakers and you can identify the parts with no problem.

They are loud enough for a small venue, big house party, without a subbass. the bass response is loud, punchy but it is not as clear, little muddy.

overall the sound has a boxiness but they are not analytical monitors, it serves the job as loud workhorse. i am happy with them

AE
OK Speaker
Alon Entertainment 16.10.2019
The Sound Over-All Is OK But there Is a-bit Of Working His. Notice that The Mic Preamps Are not the best but with a good mic (like the AKG D5) and good cable they do the work.
Over all if you are sending line level its OK. Loud And Clear Bass.
I bought it as my first speaker and I'm really satisfied with my choise.

Pros:
-Budget friendly
-Very loud with no distortion
-Nutrix connections
-Good design
-Very light

Cons:
-Plastic build
-Nobs are not very strong
-A little bit of his

Over all I strongly recommend that speaker for almost any use

DC
Bigest disappointment ever
Dan Constantin Grigore 22.09.2018
Maybe I was to drastic giving one star to this speaker, I know there are lower quality speakers out there, but this speaker is the lowest I ever work with. I bought Thump 15 A for home using not for live sessions events where Dynacord, Monterabo and even FBT rules and the second reason was that I had Mackie 20 years ago, when a few in my country could afford them. They were the best! Now these speakers give me such disappointment that I tried to give them the benefit of the doubt three consecutive days, inviting different musicians and sound engineers each day to give me their opinion. That bad I wanted to give them a chance! But without saying anything to them they confirmed me my worst fear. These speakers have a distorted sound from the lowest volume to the max. Simply doesn't sound wright! No mater what mixer I used, no mater what settings, I couldn't find a way to make them sound right. I wonder if SRM 650 sound is similar, is the last chance I give Mackie. This ones, Thump 15A will find their way back to Thomann's warehouse.

M
Father of the year
MaxFather 04.02.2020
My ten year old son is learning to play the electric guitar. After buying a new guitar and combo, our old audio system sounded weak. I chose the Mackie Thump 15A at the Thomann store. When I brought Speaker home, my son had a birthday and a gift caused him a sea of ??emotions. The sound is great! Low and high frequencies are heard distinctly. We connected the Speaker through a mixer-console - perfect sound. Now we want to buy a mixer in the Thomann store. The son is very pleased with the features of the Mackie Thump 15A. We will buy a second Speaker, for a real rehearsal studio. I recommend to lovers of good sound: Mackie Thump 15A - the best value for money!
