Very Good (2 months old)
My kit was missing a stand. Thomann quickly sorted it out and sent this as a replacement. Always great customer service.
It is stable, carries my 18 inch Aja crash(not an expensive cymbal). No problems staying in place. It is light to maneuver if you are carrying it around. It folds up fine.
However maybe it lacks adjustments but it works perfectly for my home set up. Maybe if you have a larger setup then you might need a more adjustable stand then look to upgrade or perhaps have a more expensive cymbal. Then you might want to trust a more expensive stand. I however will keep this for as long as it lasts.

nice stand
bought a mapex tornado with zildjian pack, so i need an extra boom stand. decided to purchase this mapex stand, and it definitely is stable for a 22" ride.

Really good for the price
Received yesterday as a part of my order while i am still waiting for my drum set...
First thoughts very easy to set up and likely adjustable too... Just took some time to find the right height and when finished after some minutes i tried it with the Zildjian 16" Crash cymbal. No worries about stability nothing went wrong at all.
So finally i cant imagine any reason to buy something more expensive - especially when you are a beginner like me.
Great value for money is the words.

A little flimsy
It is lightly built so there is some swaying, but it is also easier to carry. The boom is a little sloppy when tightened since isn’t knurled.
Good value for the money.

Fine for the price
Very nice, good quality mapex cymbal. I think it is very reliable and is going to last for quite some time. Maybe this was my mistake, but when I ordered it I planned to use it as a stand for my ride cymbal but when the stand arrived I found out that it was to light and would never hold my ride if the boom is extended over the bass drum. I use it for my 16'' crash and can't complain about stability.
