Mesa Boogie Tone-Burst

Guitar Effects

The amp blacksmith from California also builds pedals. They are all very interesting, and when it comes down to workmanship and quality, there's no reason to complain at Mesa Engineering. But what can the pedals do, and what makes them stand out?

The Tone-Burst is ideal for clean boost applications (such as when you want to give a kick to the amp that you already love, or you need more gain and volume for your solos), but also provides mild overdrive if a slightly creamier sound is desired. The very effective treble and bass controls are the perfect companions for fulfilling any sound-related desire.

Always on my pedalboard

This is the best boost / low gain overdrive pedal I've used. Am I'm comparing it Boss Blues Driver & Overdrive, OCD, Mini Amp, Ibanez (plus clones thereof). It just works. It makes any amp sounds even better, and I'm talking valve amps: Fender Hot Rods, 57 Customs, Vox AC30. And it works with Stats, P90s and PAFs. Fantastic pedal. This and a tuner are the only permanent pedals on my board, and have been for 2 years. Amazing sound. Great for lifting solos or your amp or both. Useful tone controls. Push valve amps to breakup that little bit more. Great stuff.

Create your tone

I've been using this pedal for several years now. When you read about it you may prefer to buy some OD pedal instead of it, but the precious of this exact pedal is that you can create your own tone with it and use it futuremore.
I find it helpful for guitar players who prefer clear sound and not very big amount of overdrive.
Solid, well-made. Quality.

A nice foundational clean tone builder pedal

A great pedal to set up your basis clean tone. Similar use (and even better sound) than the Xotic EP Booster, with the possibility to regulate bass, treble and girt content.
It's always on in my pedalboard.

Genau das, was ich gesucht habe!

Ich spiele derzeit über einen Rockerverb 100 mk II-Amp zusammen mit meiner 2 x 12er Mesa Boogie-Box.
Da mein Volumepedal einige Höhen verschluckt hat und ich für Solis etwas mehr Boost und Höhen haben wollte war ich auf der Suche nach einem entsprechenden Pedal.
Schnell kam ich auf den Mesa Boogie Tone-Burst.
Nach ewigem Vergleichen von Berichten im Internet entschied ich mich dazu ihn zu kaufen und war sofort zufrieden!
Der Tone-Burst hält vollkommen was er verspricht.
Er ändert den Sound nicht, man kann Höhen und Tiefen wunderbar einstellen und mehr Gain oder Level hinzufügen.
Das Problem mit dem Volumepedal war also behoben, doch ohne das Volumepedal klang der Toneburst sogar noch besser.
Nicht nur ich, sondern auch Kollegen waren begeistert von dem Toneburst und haben ihn sich gekauft, nachdem sie ihn bei mir getestet haben.

Jedoch nur 4 Sterne bei Verarbeitung, weil die Kabel nicht so einfach in die Büxe gehen, wie bei meinen anderen Pedalen.
